"The place is lovely. Beautiful surroundings, with wonderful buildings. Christine was a excellent host, very helpful, with a good command of English. Breakfast was good and we had one evening meal, good also. Nearby town had many cafes and restaurants. It seems that many English people live in the area so being unable to speak French is not a problem in shops, cafes etc."

La piscine très propre permet de se rafraichir en admirant le paysage tout autour. Idéal pour se ressourcer. Petits commerces de qualité à quelques kilomètres et de nombreuses ballades possibles. "La Villa des Consuls is located in the heart of old Sarlat, with all the amenities that entails. The staff is nice and helpful, putting us in touch with a great guide and setting up our taxis to and from the rail station. Breakfast is tasty and reasonably priced, but above all, our two bedroom room was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. It also included a usable kitchen and a small balcony overlooking the main commercial street. Despite that, it was quiet. I highly recommend this hotel."
