"Lovely homely chalet with absolutely amazing views. Very well equipped. Great walks nearby. Few things a bit dated but the chalet has a lovely warm feel to it. The host was very helpful, answering our queries quickly and clearly had fantastic knowledge of the local area. Please note the hot tub is wood fired so takes a long time to warm up, so you do need to be around all day to get it warmed up which for us wasn't practical as we spent our days out exploring, "

Il est très bien situé si vous voulez être au calme des stations, qui restent très proches (mais qui sont bondées lors des vacances scolaires donc beaucoup de circulation pour y accéder, mais des navettes sont à disposition proche du châlet.) "We really enjoyed our stay in Lamoura. The property is beautifully decorated and well appointed and there was a lot to do in the area, including running, cycling and swimming. The large garage was invaluable on rainy days for entertaining the kids and drying washing. My only gripe was the lack of transparency about linen hire, cleaning charges and the need for a 500 euro deposit, neither of which were mentioned in the listing, meaning I didn't bring a cheque book and had to sort it all out...

"Communication was great, the chalet was wonderful. We were 3 families, each with a 3 and a 5 year old. Great place that allowed us easy access to the slopes, space for the kids to play (and for the adults when the kids were asleep). The owners were super helpful as well."

"Overall our stay was very enjoyable the chalet was very well equipped and spacious and the hot tub and pool table were a great addition . However, it would have been helpful to have some information relating to use of some of the appliances. We arrived early evening and were not given any introduction as the owner had left. After an 8 hour drive it would have been nice to have had some basic supplies as is normal for this type of property however, we had to go straight out again to find a shop....

"If you want the best view of Mount Blanc and privacy then this is the place for you. We loved this place. It was higher than the other villas and came with character and history. A great place for a get-together with friends and family. You do need a car."

"This chalet is off the beaten track- if the closest piste isn’t open ( it wasn’t for us) it is a 200m walk up a steep hill to get to your car. However, the reward for this is the most quiet, peaceful chalet we’ve ever stayed in - truly beautiful Marinelle and Pierre are perfect hosts - nothing was too much trouble. They advised and arranged things such as airport transportation for us. Pierre even brought us some amazing cheese and smoked sausage Can’t wait to go back !"

"The house itself is okay. Bedding was not like in the pictures. Beds were not made when we arrived. Had to search for sheets and put them on ourselves. The hot water seems to be controlled by the owner and it was turned off one night. Could not take showers until the morning. We did contact them but got no response. The upstairs bathroom door does not lock or close. Had to move a shelf in front of it to keep it closed. The middle bathroom has mold on the ceiling."

"Good place to stay, love the reception staff, all super nice and speak different languages. There was some working around the hotel, but they did their best to accommodate our request for a quiet room, even letting us enter the room before check-in time. Apart from one morning without water that the hotel quickly fixed, I couldn't fault anything. Rooms are small but with everything you need, close to the city center and the train station, perfect for having something to eat as the city can be...
