In Villar d'Arène you will find a nice little village square, a grocery store, a tobacco-coffee shop, a snack-bar, a souvenir shop, a sports shop, restaurants and creperie.
The village of La Grave is 10 minutes by car.
You will find there the cable car of Glaciers de la Meije which goes up to 3200m.

Since Gap:
120 Km by the RN94 towards Briançon then RD1091 towards Grenoble by the Col du Lautaret.
