Los Frailecillos Villanueva del Trabuco by Ruralidays

Holiday home situated in the town of Villanueva del Trabuco, in the region of Nororma, in the province of Malaga, Andalucia.

The owner will always take care of you and will provide you with all the facilities you could need. In the construction of this holiday home, he used bricks from Granada, wrought iron and wood, which, together with the exquisite decoration, perfectly fit into the marvellous surroundings full of olive and fruit trees.

This holiday home’s two floors are characterised by a pleasurable temperature and complete intimacy and tranquillity, thanks to their walls’ double isolation. On the ground floor you will find a fireplace-equipped living room, with warm/cool air-con, a completely equipped independent kitchen, a bathroom with shower and two electric-radiator-equipped bedrooms, one with a double bed and a single bed, and the other with one double bed and two single beds.

On the first floor, there are two more bedrooms, one with a double bed and a single bed, and the other with two single beds, in addition to a bathroom with bathtub. This floor is heated up by the fireplace.

You will enjoy yourself in the outdoor area during summertime, where you can play tennis, basketball or ping-pong. The garden and the terrace are the ideal places where to sunbathe, drinking a delicious happy-hour, or simply enjoy a fun conversation, making the most of the privacy offered by this completely fenced estate. You will also find a covered parking and a pet-friendly area, while the access is completely paved. Lastly, if you fancy eating some specialities, you should visit the nearby restaurant.

Afterwards, you will want to cool yourself down in the salt-water swimming pool, which is heated via solar panels and available from May to September with no extra costs. The solar panels increase the temperature of the water by 4/5ºC, depending on the season and the weather conditions. Therefore, it's not possible to know the temperature of the water beforehand.

The plot where the holiday home is located is fenced, there you will also find a covered parking area and a pet-friendly area. The access is completely asphalted.

The owner suggests you a restaurant that offers a great variety of typical dishes of the area, 10 minutes walking.

Large Villa - In Real Rural Spain
Jose's Villa is a large traditional property, Jose is a conscientious host who is always available should you need something. Overall we had a great holiday and enjoyed the Villa, however, a few key things let the villa down. It is spacious and obviously loved, the pool while not that big is fine for cooling off and our kids between 5 and 9 loved it, however, it would be a bit small for older kids or groups bigger than 8, the table tennis and basketball/short tennis court where good. It has a large well-equipped kitchen and BBQ, this is essential as the local restaurants are lacking so don't expect to eat out. This area is traditional Spain and not touristy which we like however it does mean that there is not much to do, and the town does not offer much. It's well worth a drive to the National Park - El Torcal de Antequera as this was spectacular and our kids loved it. We did have a few issues with the Villa that let it down, not all the bedrooms are air-conditioned and the living area AC does not work, we attempted to point this out to Jose but he was insistent it was fine, meaning it was super hot in the ground floor living room and bedrooms. Jose did provide a fan however the Villa needs AC in all the bedrooms as sleeping was very difficult for those in these rooms. Also, the villa's beds require better mattresses, all the adults suffered during the week on these beds as they were so hard and uncomfortable. Another thing we think is just to do with being in Rural Spain was that the area has nearby villas that obviously keep dogs, all of which bark constantly from early evening till the morning on and off, strangely Jose also has a dog he keeps in a pen next to the villa, this dog is quite annoying as he also barks on and off which we all found really annoying and detracted from otherwise enjoyable evenings in the garden of the villa. These things did not ruin our holiday but did take away from our 100% enjoyment which is a shame as Jose was a lovely chap who is trying his best to make sure people enjoy the villa.
