Part of the balcony was a closed glass terrace (with adjustable opening), which was an advantage when the weather was less than good. The pictures in the ad reflect reality. You can use the washing machine which was helpful for we travelled hand luggage only. Apartment was large and had everything you needed, even a friendly cat that would visit the garden!
