Welcome to our little piece of paradise in the mountains of Boone NC! A Mountain Dream Cabin is far enough from civilization to be secluded, yet close enough to town & local attractions to be more than convenient. Located only 10 quick miles outside of Boone, NC in the exclusive log cabin community of Twin Hollows. A Mountain Dream has every amenity to make your stay as comfortable, pleasant and stress free as you could ever imagine.

From our Boone Area Chamber of Commerce with Town of Boone North Carolina and Explore Boone:

We welcome Appalachian State students back to Boone and our fall visitors are beginning to seek the beauty of autumn in the mountains once again.

Thanks to the tireless work of utility and construction crews, Boone and Blowing Rock have largely recovered from the storm’s impacts. Primary and most secondary roads have been repaired, though occasional lane closures and the need for alternate routes still exist in many areas.

Many of our retail and restaurant partners are open for business, including those in downtown Boone as well as other popular areas across the community. Please note that a curfew remains in effect from 11PM to 7AM daily throughout Watauga County

A Mountain Dream Cabin itself is fine too. Had a tree come thru the back porch roof but that has been patched. In the grand scheme of things we were very blessed/lucky that that was all the damage we incurred.

The resilience of our community and the outpouring of support from off the mountain has gotten us to this point.
With all that being so eloquently said, we welcome you back to our community with open arms. The businesses and restaurants are very much look forward to serving you again and seeing your smiling faces!

we really liked the privacy of the cabin we only saw 1 person our entire time at the property we also liked the overall appearance of the cabin I also enjoyed the firepit the only negative was the power was out all day and night in banner elk so we lost our dinner reservation for Saturday night but you can't control mother nature

Exactly what we were looking for!
Wonderful, cozy little cabin for a quick mountain getaway. We were praying for a bit of snow, and God was graciously generous!! Even in sub-zero windchill temps, the hot tub was amazing and the cabin was warm and toasty. The host is perfectly responsive and friendly, and we had no complaints. Would definitely recommend.

Mountain Dreams Do Come True
My sister and I came to the area for my son’s wedding and wanted to make a long fall weekend visit out of it. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mountain Dream Cabin. The property was exactly as shown — clean, well-stocked. The owner was very responsive with communications. Location was close to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, Grandfather Mountain and all other attractions. Will return.

This was our second stay at this property and it was just as enjoyable as the first time we stayed a few years ago. The cabin has plenty of room for our family of 5 without feeling too cramped. The bed in the master i feel is very comfortable. The cabin has everything you need and is removed enough from town to feel secluded but close enough to be convenient. I will say the first time we visited the road leading up and the driveway were quite rough but over time the gravel has become more compact which made it much easier getting in and out than last time. We had another great stay here overall and look forward to coming back again!

Beautiful Cabin, Extraordinary View
Perfect cabin for your mountain getaway! It has everything you need to cook a full meal. Enjoyed coffee on the porch swing in the mornings and the hot tub on the back porch in the evenings. Secluded, yet not far from Boone. Definitely need 4-wheel drive in winter months!

Visiting for a Wedding at White Fence Farms
Excellent property. Comfortable, clean, and functional. Brought our two small dogs and they felt right at home. They loved all the new smells on their walks. Beds were comfortable. Very quite location. Porches were welcoming. Although we did not have time to use the hot tub, it was very clean and welcoming as well. Terri was an exceptional host and made our stay that much more pleasant. Thank you!

Nice but needs a few things
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. I would say three things would have made it better. 1) there is no view. There are a few trees that could be cut down and then the view from the hot tub would be wonderful. 2) the beds are old. Buying a couple bed in the box hybrid mattresses would have made sleep more enjoyable. 3) having a professional pest control come out and spray would have been great. Wife found ants and spiders. If those three things would have been done I'd have given a 5. If those three things get done I'd come back, no hesitation and would encourage others as well.

Cabin on the mountain
The cabin was well equipped, and very cute. Firewood was not supplied so we bought our own. We were using the gas grill nightly and ran out of propane after the third night. I felt maybe no one had been there in awhile as the Christmas decorations were still up and we were there the end of March threw April 2nd. Be prepared to pack your trash out as there is no garbage service. Not a big deal for us as the public dumping sites were easy to find. I was happy to be able to bring our dog but quickly noticed that a neighbors dog (brown with one eye) was using the yard for his bathroom. Another black and white spotted dog also stopped by. The was a bit of dust as far as window sills and base boards, but like I said I don’t think anyone had been there for a while. We were able to plug in our Tesla and charge it easily from an outlet on the front porch so that was helpful. Overall I was happy with the cabin and location. Our kids loved the hot tub and were in it daily. I would definitely recommend this rental.

This cabin was perfect for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary! It’s a great getaway spot for couples that’s away from the crowds but still close to Boone. We had a great time and would definitely recommend to others!

Relaxing Winter Getaway
My wife and 2 kids ( 2 and 4) had a wonderful winter retreat. The cabin awarded us with that secluded, private, and rustic vibe that was met with all the conveniences one could need. The cabin had plenty of blankets and towels as well as kitchen tools and utensils which made mom happy. The views in the winter were wonderful and the hot tub was a deal maker for dad. Close to Boone, Sugar, and Beech Mountains, there was not for want of activities to do. We even were able to finish our stay with 5" of snow which the kids absolutely loved sledding in out front. This is a great place to stay for a family. Thank-you.
