"The staff were very friendly and courteous. Everyone from desk check-in, assistance, restaurant staff and so on. The foyer was beautiful, and the bar and verandahs were amazing!! Beautiful views from rooms, restaurant and terraces. "

"Issue - long way to carry bags. Not convinient - long distance, cobbled and narrow corridors. Other - bit outdated by clean and well maintained."

"The property was gorgeous and well-appointed. Margarida was a very friendly hostess. The room was very large and very quiet. It looked out into a large yard that had beautiful gardens and pool area. Our breakfast was extensive and generous. A great stay for off the beaten path-very relaxing. In a very nice town."

"Beautiful place if “lavish” for me. Great staff, super clean, amazing bed and shower, really nice breakfast. Get a room overlooking the water. I ate at The Library Bar both nights (January; very very few options) and It was fine as well as the service. Wineries within walking distance and decent trek right from hotel into the hills "

"This is my second time staying at the property and it was the same magical experience. This time around I just wanted to relax and enjoy the property. And that I did! I spent my days enjoying the trails, in enjoying the multiple fireplaces on the property. And of course the dinner. The food wine and port made for an unforgettable stay. "
