Ideally Located

Meidling, Vienna’s 12th district, is located immediately southwest of the center city. This lovely neighborhood is mostly residential in character, and extremely convenient for anyone new to Vienna. In addition to a diverse range of restaurants and cafes, there are several supermarkets in Meidling. The neighborhood is also home to the Bezirksmuseum Meidling, Vienna's oldest museum and an ideal place to see intricate handicrafts or learn about the lives of Austrian composers Carl Lorens and Hermann Leopoldi. For a taste of nature, head to the Marillenalm, a beautiful woodland park, or the Hermann Leopoldi Park, which has playing fields, a volleyball court, and even bocce. Meidling is served by the U4 and U6 subway lines as well as trams and S-Bahn trains.
