Fabulous Fairfield with Absolute Charm and Appeal wraps it up when describing this charming home. Nestled on a Quiet Street just a few blocks from Dallas Road Beach area, this duplex retains the charm of a much older home. The upstairs portion of the duplex is owned and resided in permanently by a lovely lady. The all-inclusive lower level is totally separate and is for our Victoria Prime renter's exclusive use.

It is Thoughtful Design that makes this such an Amazing Rental. Details such as the Original Mantelpiece that surrounds the Gas Fireplace combined with the Stainless Steel Appliances and Marble Countertops throughout make this a very special place.

Occupied by the owners for 3 months of the year, it has been Equipped to Satisfy the Most Discriminating. Cook Street Village is a bustling little neighbourhood located to the East. Full of wonderful shops, services and restaurants; it's THE place to spend a leisurely afternoon with a hot cup of coffee and a good book in a beautiful setting. It's also just a short stroll to Beacon Hill Park and the ocean.

Two Bedrooms feature a comfortable Queen size and Double size bed with Desks in each bedroom. The Ensuite Bath has a Full Size Stall Shower with Beautiful Marble Countertops. The Second Bath has the same beautiful sink and a Tub/Shower and it is located just adjacent to the second bedroom, practically an ensuite.

French Doors open off of the living room onto a Gated Patio that wraps around the side to your side entrance gate. It is through these doors that you can take in a bit of Early Sunset as the skies turn from blue to pink, purple, orange, and more. The front door is on the south side of the house and enters into a small foyer with the living room on the left and the kitchen/dining area to your right. The Guest Carport is located around the corner at the back of the house, which allows you to enter through the back door straight into the back hall leading into the kitchen. Please note, if your vehicle is overly large and does not fit in the carport then street parking is the other option.

CHECK IN is between 4 pm and 8 pm P.S.T. and CHECK OUT is by 11 am P.S.T. Occasionally we may be able to accommodate special earlier check in requests but there are no guarantees.

A couple of items of note; this property has a ventless dryer, which does take a little longer to dry items, and the smoke detector is sensitive.

Victoria is the busy, vibrant and growing capital of British Columbia. Just as in many cities in BC, Canada and likely other countries in the world, we are experiencing a shortage of housing. In dealing with this situation there are several new buildings being constructed in the downtown core, and elsewhere. We recognize that there could be some daytime noise but are confident that it will not interfere with your time in beautiful Victoria.

Great Location, Great Service
This was our sixth Victoria rental, the first outside the main tourist areas. Although some of our prior rentals were direct waterfront and an easy walk to the harbor area, we liked this location the best for longer stays. Fairfield is fantastic. We were a short walk from the shops and action of Cook Street Village and about the same from Beacon Park and the Dallas Road waterfront. Great walking opportunities and nearby restaurants. What more could you want in a true Victoria, non touristy, vacation? The unit itself was small by our personal standards, but it is fully equipped and attractively furnished. Tasteful, but not showy. There is a useable outdoor sitting area. There are only two units in the complex so no riding elevators or too many neighbors. A vacation rental is not just indoor space or even location. It is an experience. A big part of that experience is service from the host. Our host was Victoria Prime Services, a professional property manager. They were truly professional in every sense. Every concern or issue was resolved quickly and completely. Communication was outstanding. Most VRBO hosts are the owners and their intentions are mainly good. But good intentions are not the same as good execution from a team that really knows how to deliver a great guest experience.

Very "Homey" Feel
The location was ideal, with a short walk to a great park and to the ocean. The rental was very warm, cozy and clean. Within a short drive, we were able to access a great grocery store, hardware store, bakery and various outing sites (downtown, Chinatown, museum, great restaurants, shops, Empress Hotel, Parliament Building, etc.). The property manager (Ted) was great in responding to our various questions before and throughout our stay. We felt very well taken care of. The only improvements we can suggest are: 1) more comfortable mattresses; 2) simple instructions as to how to turn on the fireplace (we never could figure out how to get it to work even with assistance!) and 3) the dryer didn't seem to dry loads well (even small to medium loads)...each load needed to be dried several times in order to fully dry (we tried different drying settings, and we had issues with all of them)! Having said all the above, we'd like to end this review by stating that we truly loved our stay here and have very warm memories of our time in this rental.
