A dog-friendly, quiet, private suite overlooking a quaint lake

23 minutes from Victoria, 23 minutes from Sooke, Blue Sky Retreat is a quiet respite and rest for anyone wanting to get the best out of their stay at the southern end of Vancouver Island.

We have a suite available with a private living room, bedroom and private balcony with swing, gravity chairs, BBQ and your own private entrance, a kitchenette and private bathroom with shower. An additional guest can be accommodated on the L-shaped couch in the living room. We provide additional bedding (pillows, duvets, blankets) required.

The kitchenette includes our own freshly roasted and ground coffee, assorted midnight snacks, and bottled water. A countertop convection oven/toaster and microwave are also included.

The front yard has a secluded glade surrounded by Arbutus and pine trees. Guests are welcome to use the BBQ facilities and relax around the fire pit in the warmer months.

The location is conveniently close to amenities, Lookout Lake Park, Olympic View Golf course, hiking, Galloping Goose Trail, and minutes from the ocean with off-leash beaches. Ask us about dog parks, beaches, hiking trails, and local sights to see.

We have one large dog, a playful 6 year old Bernese mountain dog that loves everyone but gets momentarily very excited to meet new guests, and our new addition, a Berner pup that is still adjusting and is happily chewing up everything she can find. So apologies for the short term chaos in our garden!

We always bring them out to greet you upon first arrival so that they get to meet and know you.

If you are not comfortable being around dogs our location is probably not suitable. The suite downstairs has its own door closing it off from the rest of the house so no cats or dogs can stray in. We'd prefer that any guest dogs also not stray outside the suite or outside area.

I had an amazing stay. The host was very friendly and gave a tour on check in. A great walk down and up the stairs to Lookout Lake was great. The weather was mostly cloudy and windy but if you're a storm person, it was great. I could have sat outside watching the clouds go by my entire stay.

A very nice and quiet suite with stunning view of a small lake and breathtaking mountains from largo patio with swing Owner greeted us with 2 very friendly guard dogs and showed the spacious suit with a bed room and living room with private bath, kitchen and AC. My wife and I were quite happy with our stay over the weekend and would definitely stay again.

Wonderful hidden retreat
