The customer service is perfection-the hotel staff were the first to tell me my flight got cancelled, and then proceeded to book me for another night-not to mention one of the attendants offered to be my go between with the airline. I had the privilege of speaking to one of the owners-this is a family-owned business, owned by people who really care about this establishment. I hope to return. If I can give this place ten stars I would."

"We loved our stay at Shearwater Explorers Village - 10/10 for sure! The property was immaculately clean, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, and our room was perfect with the mosquito net to keep us safe from bites at night. Most of all we loved the staff - reception, cleaning staff, activities staff, bartenders and restaurant servers were incredibly warm and friendly. They were what makes Shearwater Explorers Village the perfect place to stay when visiting Victoria Falls. We highly recommend staying at Shearwater Explorers Village. "

"Had a lovely 3 night stay here in February and would return if we found ourselves in Vic Falls again. Staff were friendly and helpful, whilst the property was clean and tidy. The pool was a nice area to relax, whilst the room was great. The king size bed was huge and comfortable, whilst the aircon worked well and the room was nice and quiet. There was a fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee machine, all within the room, in addition to an iron. Rooms were decorated in a modern manner, whilst the bathroom had a powerful shower. Breakfast was also good. We enjoyed our stay, but we did feel that it would be helpful to have a "information guide" in the room or at reception, listing taxi whatsapp numbers. On our first night, we asked the guard, and he didn't know how to call us a taxi, meaning he had to call the owner to assist and we had a delay in going to dinner. This felt something basic that could've been provided. In addition, we struggled with drinking water. 2 small bottles were placed in the room everyday, but one evening, we ran out and was dehydrated. When asking the guard, they managed to find us a small bottle, but it seemed a bit odd that they sell wine/beer at reception, but do not have water available to buy should you need more. Two easy fixes, which would've made our stay even more enjoyable and smooth, but we still would recommend."

"From the group of four who greeted us with smiles, a cool washcloth and efficient luggage service leading to a refreshing welcome drink in the beautiful veranda, everyone and everything at the Wallow lodge was delightful. Coming from three days camping in the bush, the ‘tents’ at Wallow Lodge were a welcome sight! All the room amenities, including the outdoor shower, were perfect. Only sorry we couldn’t stay longer. Thanks to Rejoice and MC for making our stay and our meals memorable in beautiful Zimbabwe."
