"We enjoyed a restful three-day stay at Loerie’s Rest Cabin. In particular, we enjoyed the view and outdoor deck living space. There is a nice, relatively short, walk nearby where we saw zebras and water buffalo as well as a refreshing down/up-hill walk to a rocky beach that is currently not swimmable.Getting to the cabin did prove to be a bit of a challenge as we had to call for instructions from our car (not always easy for an international traveller), drive through a security gate, then by-pass a private development and then up a meandering private road with hairpin turns. Once we got through the initiation phase, however, access became a non-issue.The unit itself is very comfortable and well-laid.Our host was very accessible, communicative and helpful right from the start. Our ‘home away from home’ had most everything we needed but did not provide any basic seasonings or coffee maker so a bit of improvisation was called for. On balance, this is a beautiful spot for anyone with a tiny bit of adventure in them."

"From the moment we drove into the property of this beautiful B&B, we felt welcomed like family. Rina goes out of her way to make sure that the tiniest detail of her guests requests are attended to. We visited with our 93 year old mother, and the little, unspoken thoughtful gestures to make everything uncomplicated for her, spoke volumes of the caring kind of person that Rina is. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the welcome package included rusks and chocolates, complementary assortment of coffee and teas and bottled water. The breakfasts are an assorted treat of generous homemade wholesome goodness-each day with a different choice of hot and cold items. I cannot say enough about how well we were fed and individually attended to. The pool was lovely, and we enjoyed the polite dogs, friendly horses and occasional rabbits on the property. She has a number of little quotes around the building which is testament to her approach towards her guests: primarily that we arrive as friends, and leave like family. This is true Afrikaans South African hospitality at its finest. Thank you Rina- you’re amazing! "
