"The garage is great especially on a snowy winter day. but the check in process was a big issue. We came around 7pm, which is within the timeline specified on Expedia. however, no one was there.. we tried to call and message, no response for 30mins. It was a snowy day and its dark and we haven't eaten. So we went to the only restaurant open in town to grab a bite while contacting Expedia for a solution. "Cogne is simply beautiful. Small enough to be charming, big enough to stay busy and entertained. The Chateau Royal was a great home base. Centrally located, comfortable and we'll equipped. We originally booked two nights but added two more as it was such a great village with so much to do. We hiked, fished, rafted and paraglided plus catching some of the abundant castles and forts in the Sister Valley). This one is a do-over (we'll be back:-)."

"Monolocale pulito e adeguato per un soggiorno di una settimana per due persone , vicino ad un supermercato ben fornito e ad un ristorante-pizzeria-gelateria ( facente parte dello stesso gruppo) con personale molto gentile ed efficiente e in cui si possono gustare ottime pizze e gelati , per non parlare delle buonissime torte preparate dallo chef ! Quindi tutto molto comodo , eccetto il piccolo parcheggio sempre occupato ma sicuramente perché abbiamo soggiornato la settimana di ferragosto"

A great surprise for us was the path, just at the end of the garden, who takes you on a beautiful trip around the mountain. There is other great trails further up the mountain (starts 10 min. away in car), with spectacular views. We used it for skiing, and tried Cervina, Valtournence, Thorgnon and Chamois.
