"Our room was in amongst renovated farm buildings, rustic on the outside but nice and well appointed inside. There was a pool. It was set in wooded hills a few miles from Sarlat. Peaceful and beautiful. The reception and restaurant were in a seperate building a couple of kilometers away. Access was by a one way system of narrow roads. The setup was unusual but enjoyable. We ate outdoors every evening and the cuisine was great. We would go again if visiting this area."

"Lovely location near town, with delicious breakfast and comfy room! FYI, parking access is tricky, as steep, skinny, and sharp turns (not good for larger vehicles, be comfy reversing around curve, and try to arrive first time in daylight!), but instructions are clear. Just a heads-up! It’s not a reason to avoid as the guest experience is top notch!! "

"This is a quirky and charming little property. We loved it. We had a two story room with large window and beautiful view of the cathedral from our bedroom. Our bathroom was on the first floor down a spiral staircase. Yes, it was delightfully quirky. This is a great place for those who shun standard square room."

"Our stay at La Chambre de Madel was a highlight of our trip to France. The setting is breathtaking and Nicole is a wonderful, beautiful soul. She made us feel very welcome and went out of her way to help us find a place to dine. Her delicious breakfast showcases her baking skills and the local goods from this fascinating area. "

"Sarlat is a great place from which to explore the Dordogne and you won't find a better place to stay than O Claire de Lune. Breakfasts included home baked bread and pastries and one day Crepe! We will recommend to all our friends for both this place and the region."

"The Maison de Tari is a perfect place to stay for families looking to explore the area around Sarlat. We stayed in a family room with three small children and it suited us perfectly. All rooms had a separate outside sitting area with a large table. It had a good sized pool, a separate communal cooking and dining area, including a gas BBQ and a fridge. A great continental breakfast was provided that included fresh pastries from the local bakery, and a selection of local jams, cheeses and meats....

"Due to flights we had 2 nights here before moving to our holiday accommodation. The owners were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, breakfastgreat and fridge stocked for us to use at reasonable prices. Lovely rooms and hotel very close to Sarlat."

"The hosts (Americans, who settled in France a few years ago ) were very kind and helpful. They speak French, English and Spanish. The husband - who is also the cook - proposes dishes typical to the area for the dinner. Nice location, terrasse, and pool. The rooms are nice, but I would prefer a wood floor rather than tiles."

"Christina and Philippe were just the best hosts. The service was amazing and they coulsnt do enough for us during our short 3 night stay. The breakfast was hearty and tasty and the setting is also very very nice. The room and bathroom was clean with no issues whatsoever. Cant recommend enough!"
