The property was picture perfect as was the cabin. The host came by to visit and brought us a bottle of wine. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting to spend quality time with family while unplugging and relaxing.
Wow! What a great place! Very comfortable, so much to do! We explored the property daily, had bonfires, made big breakfasts, grilled everynight. Highly recommend
Property was beautiful. About 25 minutes from town. Great porches to watch the deer and wildlife. Host was so wonderful. Can not wait to come back and stay again.
Exactly as advertised. Great spot for a family getaway. So peaceful and beautiful. Easy drive to downtown Vevay for restaurant and shopping options.
Really enjoyed being able to take my dog on a walk through the woods. We spent many hours around the firepit in the backyard.
We would absolutely stay here again.
Stayed at Carol’s Cabin with my family for the weekend. The cabin was prefect for the seven of us including two children. The pond and the trails in the woods made it nice to walk the dogs. Plenty of room for outside activities. Went to Madison for the day which is about a 20 minute drive. We would stay again.
Cabin is spacious, well maintained, fully stocked and a beautiful, quiet, relaxing place to stay. As great as the cabin is, the grounds and setting are even more gorgeous. Really gives a peaceful feeling of being one with God's creation. Have never seen so many deer and wildlife in my life. The host is very gracious and helpful. Will be back and you should consider it, too.
This is the perfect place to have a quiet nature vacation. The house was well-equipped and comfortable. The property outside has lots of space and trails to enjoy. The first half of the week had snow and we played in it for three days. Then it melted and revealed lots of trails and the pond that we really enjoyed. Highly recommend.
John was very welcoming and hospitable. The property was private and allowed our dogs and four boys to run and be wild without disturbing anyone. The pond was great for fishing and the cabin was very clean and well stocked. Even though the cabin was not set up for small children, it was child proof enough that we could relax even with four boys under the age of 7. The only potential improvement would be having the wooded trails cleaned up a bit and providing a map or description so we had a better idea of where the trails went. With young kids, we need an idea of how long we’ll be hiking to prepare properly. Otherwise everything was perfect.
We met friends here to tour along the Ohio River on motorcycles. We all loved this cabin. The big, well stocked kitchen was large enough for all of us. The bedrooms had room for all our stuff. A couple of our friends loved walking the beautiful property each morning.
Each evening we all sat out on the fantastic front porch for hours enjoying the peace and quiet and catching up with each other and enjoying a bottle of wine our host gave us.
John, our host, told us of a local road to ride and it was a great ride. We decided we will come back next time later in the fall when leaves have changed. Really anytime of year this cabin would be a perfect choice.
This cabin was perfect for our needs. We had 4 children with us - 15, 12, 8 and 8. They all loved the pond. I had to pull the boys away from fishing at the pond to even get them to eat! Would highly recommend this cabin to anyone needing a get away from reality week (or weekend).
We enjoyed our recent stay and found the cabin both comfortable and welcoming. The location was perfect for us with the pond and the privacy. Also the owner was extremely responsive and so very helpful with any questions that we had.
We are already looking forward to coming back again.
