Excellent!
Without a doubt the best B & B we have ever stayed in! It was so welcoming and so relaxing. Wonderfully close to everything. Room super comfy, clean and all is nicely decorated. Breakfast was delightful --- set up in a small sitting area with great coffee, orange juice, fresh croissants, fresh fruit and other assorted goodies. Owner is so friendly and helpful and enjoyable to chat with. We will definitely be back!

Hidden behind a plain wooden door is this beautiful little B&B a short stroll from the Arena and sights of Verona. On the first floor of a historic building, accessed by a brand new lift, Casaesvael is decorated with an eclectic mix of artwork, ornaments and over-the-top glass chandeliers. The continental breakfast every day, which always included super-fresh croissants from a local bakery, plus fruit, yoghurts, etc, and a choice of tea and coffees was more than adequate. All the rooms were cleaned to a high standard and the host was friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. We stayed for three nights in October and couldn't have been happier. If we return to Verona in future we would almost certainly stay at Casavael again. Thank you very much for a lovely stay!

The property is on a main bus route, two easy trips from the airport and ten minutes walk from the Opera Arena. The property is in a traditional apartment and our room was very comfortable with whisper quiet a/c if required. The owner has good taste and the property is filled with interesting and eclectic period furniture. There is a delightful continental breakfast, with great coffee, fresh croissants, fresh fruit and a good selection of spreads. This property is the heart of the old city and a good base to explore Verona. This is a good walking city with everything in range, with a lot of pedestrianisation and very little traffic.

Dangerous door lock; do not stay here
The room was nice, the host was pleasant, and the breakfast was decent. But there is a huge problem that must be fixed before anyone stays there again. When a guest leaves and locks the door from the outside, the other guests are locked in. There is no way to unlock the door from the inside. We were locked in and it was very scary. The room is too high up to jump out a window in case of a fire. The manager, pathetically, blamed the other guests for locking us in, when the problem is the way the lock system was designed.

Excellent B&B, very close to centre of Verona.
Very pleasant stay. Owner very keen to please/help and carried luggage up to the first floor for us - no elevator. Our room had small but functional en suite. Pleasant breakfast - but no cooked option if that's what you like.

Great stay in Verona
Rudi was a very gracious host who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast area and the b&b in general was very cute! Definitely would recommend this place!

Right by the heart of Verona
This Bed and Breakfast is right on the main street that envelops the old city center from the northwest, just one block from the castle. The parking is off-site, but safe and easily reachable, about five minutes away which will take you across the magnificent ancient bridge. The breakfast is alright. The premises are clean. The owner waited for me on the street in front of the building. He was very kind and helpful, which I greatly appreciated. In fact I found the people of Verona notably friendly and nice. The old Verona itself is a city that takes you back to the age of the Renaissance and further back. This beauty deserved to give birth to the story of Romeo and Juliette.

Pleasent stay
Really friendly and helpful owner. Great location. The place is in an old building so the floors and everything really is a bit loud, just be prepared. There's no onsite parking available, on street parking is limited to 2h, car park is rather far and expensive.

Good option anyway
Great location and good customer service. Good size bedroom, very comfortable and clean. As per the description at the time of the booking and the confirmation, we were expecting the bathroom inside the bedroom. It was uncomfortable to go through the common areas to the bathroom, take a shower, etc. I was disappointed as it was not what we had booked.

Visit to Verona
Stayed here as part of a visit to the arena to see a performance. Great position for the arena. Nice, clean and very comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful owner. Not cheap but reasonable value in relation to other hotels in Verona. Not ideal having the bathroom across the other side of the breakfast area - only for our private use or not - request one of the two rooms with en-suite attached. Very disappointed to arrive back at midnight with the bar a few doors away blasting out music and football chanting until the early hours.

Super hote, chaleureuse et soucieuse du bien etre des invités. Magnifique lieu, au coeur de Vérone. Petit bémol : dommage que dans un endroit comme celui ci, nous avons eu des biscotte et un cornetto sous vide.
