Shocking in more ways then one!
When we arrived at the location we struggled to find it as from the road the property looked abandoned. Once keys were handed over and we had a look around the villa does have lots of great character and the potential to be a fantastic holiday home but it does require a LOT of TLC. We were disappointed with not being able to use one of the bedrooms and bathroom’s during our stay. Due to one bedroom being locked and the bathroom being unable to use due to the shower screen not being fixed properly. (Which we was expected to wait in for the plumber to come and repair as well as a toilet seat and another shower screen that was broken.)
Also returning one evening to find the power had tripped and we had to wait 24 hours for an electrician to come unlock a shed outside and flip a switch. Causing us to loose a fridge and freezer’s worth of food! We were told this could happen anywhere but it usually only happens with heavy rain. So clearly the property has issues with its electrics as the microwave and washing machine would give you a little bite too! The outside space and pool was nice if you don’t mind your eyes stinging and your hair becoming like straw from clearly far too much chemicals. We did have a lovely two weeks in Vera playa however I think the advert should of stated that the location of the villa is actually in a large naturalist area as we wasn’t aware of this when booking and with small children we probably wouldn’t have booked.
Safe to say we won’t be returning.
