Lovely house in a great location
We had a fantastic stay in this spacious and well equipped house. The house is well located for exploring Normandy and particularly the surrounding history. The location is very quiet and we very much enjoyed the garden terrace and quiet evenings. Highly recommended.

Clean, good size, nice garden, well stocked kitchen & dining area, good location in quiet village near new National D Day Memorial. Shower in bathroom very small & felt unsafe getting in and out, no wardrobe in one bedroom, no spare toilet rolls, drive ‘curvy’ & difficult to manœuvre car round: owner warned us about it on our arrival & I damaged side of car - will be an expensive repair.

Great location
Quaint house with great location to historic Normandy sites. It is not really waking distance to anywhere, but very easy with a car. Check in and check out are done in person, so make sure to allow for that, but went quickly and easily.

very nice property perfectly placed to visit places of interest in Normandy
This is a very nice house in which we spent a very enjoyable week's holiday in Normandy. The house is well appointed, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. As a family of four with boys aged 14 and 8, we had plenty of space, and the boys especially enjoyed the table tennis table in the garage! The house is a bit further from the village shops than we had thought - its a long walk - but the local shops provide most of our daily needs and there is a huge supermarket in Corseulles about 10 minutes' drive away. The house is perfectly positioned to reach all of the main sites of interest of the area - all the material associated with the Normandy beaches which were far more fascinating than I had expected, the castle of William the conqueror at Falaise which is also fascinating and beautifully reconstructed, and of course Bayeux and the tapestry is just 20 minutes away. All in all we had a great time and recommend the house without reservation.

A week in heaven !
This was truly the best trip of our life while visiting Normandy and staying in this beautiful property. The house is very specious, and well maintained. It really makes You say WOW the minute You arrive at the gate, and gets even better with every step You take into to house. The owner provides You with everything You need (fully equiped kitchen, garden furniture, bicycles and more). The neighbourhood is quiet, You can be sure that nothing and noone will interrupt Your stay. The only problem we had, was that our trip was too short :) It would be nice to stay there for longer, but we hope we will have a chance to come back there with our next trip to Normandy :) Thank You again!

Vacances parfaites en Normandie
From the afternoon of our arrival on September 19(met with cookies and local apple cidre) until our departure just after dawn on September 29, our stay at Mme. Elaine Beriola's home in Ver-sur-Mer was perfect. We were two sisters and their husbands, all born during WW II, wishing to get a better picture of the battle in which our parents' generation participated, beginning on June 5-6, 1944. We were so fortunate to have found Mme. Beriola's property on the Home Away site, which portrayed a most accurate representation of her property, the location of which is on the edge of a picturesque stone constructed village (Ver-sur-Mer) bordered by the fields adjacent to her property which the Allied Forces must have traversed. Using Mme. Beriola's home as our "central headquarters," we were able to make daily trips to all of the invasion beaches, from Utah in the west to Sword and the Pegasus Bridge in the east. It afforded us a much greater appreciation for the area than we had gained from the many WW II documentaries we had viewed. On our way from Paris to Ver-sur-Mer, we were able to visit Giverny, and, later, during our stay, to travel to Dieppe, E'tretat, LeHavre, Honfleur, Deauville and Trouville. Once during our stay we traveled to Le Mont Saint Michel and spent the night in the old walled town of St. Malo, returning to Ver-sur-Mer via the Contentin Peninsula and Cherbourg. We found the Normandy countryside so beautiful. We visited the Peace Museum in Caen and viewed the thousand-year old Bayeux Tapestry in Bayeux. We did our grocery shopping at the Carrefour in Courseilleus, the Super-U in Caen, and E. le Clerc (France's Walmart) in Bayeux, variously on the way home from our daily motor trips. We looked forward at the end of the day to staying in Ms. Beriola's immaculate yet comfortable and spacious home, where we prepared our meals in her well-equipped kitchen, consuming them at her spacious dining room table and then watching TV where we were able to stream programs in English with our Amazon Fire Stick. We were so happy to discover that Mme. Beriola provides excellent internet access! Believe it or not, we also found time to launder clothes and to line dry them with the benefit of breezes off the nearby Manche. Ms. Beriola's beds are spacious and very comfortable. We slept very well in the quiet environment surrounding her home. The early fall weather was beautiful and we so enjoyed sitting outside on her front yard patio. -30-

Our stay in August 2018
We enjoyed our stay at this property. It is in a quiet location, on the edge of the village a mile from the sea, and backs onto open farmland. We met Nathalie at the property on the first day, who was very helpful. The property was spotlessly clean. The terrace at the front of the property catches the sun in the morning. The property has all the amenities you could require eg dishwasher, washing machine, wi-fi, etc.The property is very close to the landing beaches. The local towns of Bayeux, Corseulles and Arromanches are very picturesque and have lots to see. Further afield, we enjoyed visiting Honfleur and doing the velorail next to the river Orne south of Caen. The kids also enjoyed the Festy land theme park in Caen. We would recommend this property as a good base for a family holiday in Normandy.

Great house and a good location.
We had a great time in Ver-sur-Mer and really enjoyed this house. The master bedroom is lovely with a lot of light, and our two teenage boys enjoyed the other two bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook, and the dining and living areas were spacious and comfortable. Be aware, however, that even though the "amenities" section says that linens are included, you will be charged an extra fee per person to have sheets and a cover. We were also surprised that there was an extra cleaning fee that was not included in the price of the house. The fees for linens and cleaning need to be paid in cash upon arrival. The unexpected extra fees and needing to make our beds after arriving from a long travel day left a bit of a bad feeling. The house, however, is lovely and we enjoyed walking in the area -- about 1km to the little village or about 3km on a path through the fields to another village.

A great holiday home in an ideal location
Had a most relaxing break. Nathalie met us on day 1, charming lady explained everything. The house was very clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable. 'hot' hot water plenty of it, good whoers and bathroom, beds very comfortable, kitchen has all you need. Wifi too. Located in easy reach of local village with boulangerie, patiserrie and charcuterie, local tabac and welcoming bar. Museum in Ver-sur-mer. Beach in easy reach. Ideal for walks, children or taking the dog out. Short drives to Bayeux and Caen, plenty of supermarkets in easy reach. Proper rural France. highly recommended..

Beautiful Vacation home in the heart of Normandy
We cannot say enough good things about this beautiful Norman house! Our family of six stayed here for a week in August. We were welcomed by Katherine and Phillipe because Nathalie was unavailable. The very next morning Nathalie came by, welcomed us and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. It was the perfect place based on what we wanted to see and do. Our mornings began with coffee and pain au chocolat outside on the front patio while the kids played in the enclosed yard. And they ended with very tired children and a quiet dining room where we could sip wine and reflect on our day. We visited the WW2 American and Canadian Cemeteries, swam at Juno, Omaha, and Gold beaches, and saw several museums regarding the liberation from the Allied forces. We spent 1 day visiting in Bayeux and visited the Tapestry museum and the Notre Dame Cathedral. On our last day, we drove to Mont Saint Michel and spent the day. Ver Sur Mer and the surrounding villages are very tranquil and picturesque. The people are super welcoming and very helpful. If you have small children, there is an amusement park filled with bouncy houses in Courseulles Sur Mer, next door a huge park with playscape as well as a carousel at the other end of the port. If you love seafood, this is the place for you! If you love to cook, buy your seafood at the beautiful fish markets and cook it at the house. The kitchen is fully equipped. After long days of sight seeing, my husband, father, and I sat at the dining room table drinking wine, eating bread, terrine, and cheese whilst the children chilled out on the couches and watched a movie. It is a very comfortable home for a family. If needed, I was able to do laundry and hang it on the line or use the drying rack upstairs. We all slept very well here and when we make our way back to Normandy, we will most definitely stay again. Thank you for a memorable week in your beautiful home!!!

Propre, tranquille , confortable, bonne location
