ABOUT THE BUNGALOW

Arrive ready to relax at this beautifully remodeled bungalow. Enjoy the fresh coastal air on a paver-stone patio, complete with a grill, alfresco dining for four, and a custom outdoor shower. Fans for cooling located in cottage closet.

Inside, enjoy good company and conversation in the quaint living room, appointed with a fireplace and antique furnishings.

Whip up home-cooked meals in the state-of-the-art kitchen, outfitted with granite countertops, a dual sink, and a full suite of stainless steel appliances -- including a five-burner gas range and French-door fridge. Gather for meals in the dining area, where a modern chandelier hangs above a table with seating for six.

BED & BATH

This single-level bungalow sleeps up to six guests between the three bedrooms.

Sleep soundly on a queen-size bed in the tranquil master bedroom, featuring white wicker furnishings and tasteful beach decor in light coastal hues.

In the second bedroom, drift off to sleep in two twin beds with wicker headboards and matching chests. Sunlight pours through patio doors in the third bedroom, where a 48in flat-screen TV invites you to watch favorite shows from a queen-size sleeper sofa.

The pristine bathroom is configured with a tub/shower combination.

EXTRA AMENITIES & MORE DETAILS

Guest amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a portable crib, and a washer/dryer. Parking is provided for two vehicles in the driveway; street parking is not permitted.

The City of Ventura requires a minimum stay of seven nights for all vacation rentals during the period beginning on the second Friday in June and ending with the last Friday in August.

THE LOCATION

Drop your bags and hit the beach! Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, your charming bungalow is just 500' from surf and sun (easily accessible, with no streets to cross). After leisurely days spent lounging on the sand, rinse off at the custom outdoor shower back home. Fire up the grill and enjoy a barbecue on the patio. Or stroll three blocks to Seaward Avenue's restaurants and bars. Hop on the free trolley to explore Ventura Harbor and downtown, or plan a day trip to Ojai (15 minutes) and Santa Barbara (30 minutes).

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Very nice home close to the beach
Quaint house in a great location only feet from the beach. Walking distance to local bars, restaurants and grocery store. The house has had some nice updates and the kitchen is extremely nice. The one small bathroom is nice as well and everything works as needed. The house does not have AC and tends to get warm in the afternoon/evening including the bedrooms. Open windows and box fans help cool the house as there are no ceiling fans. Otherwise, a very nice experience.

The cottage on Bangor Lane provided a perfect getaway. We enjoyed the neighborhood and the short walk to the beach. The cottage is charming, clean and well appointed. This will be our home away from home in Ventura.

We truly appreciated this sweet little cottage by the sea. Well appointed, especially the kitchen with everything we needed.It was very easy to clean, and lots of places to hang out. We loved the proximity to the ocean, restaurants, shopping and most of all our son! Definitely recommend to those who love the feel of a bungalow but with loads of updates.

Quaint Beach House
This is an absolutely charming, bungalow built in the 1950s. It was perfect for our family of five. We actually had Thanksgiving dinner on the back patio. The kitchen was outstanding with an amazing stove and an assortment of high-quality pots and pans. This place is just about a block from the beach so we could easily see the sunset after a short walk every evening. We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Ventura. What a great time to visit Southern California.

Great beach house
The house was very comfortable and well equipped. Any issues we had were immediately handled by the management company. The issues were minor. The front patio and backyard are lovely to spend time in. The BBQ was covered and cleaned before we arrived. The trees and bushes in the backyard were a little overgrown but trimming would solve that problem. Also, the hammock is no longer there just in case you were planning on using it. I would stay there again!

Sweet digs amongst the other mollusks on their perch...
This was our first visit to the area and I was surprised at how close the homes were to one another, which later reminded me of the way sealife builds itself, up on each other, comfortable in each others company. The home itself has a very inviting front seating area, and a warm living room. We found out that AC wasn't an option when we got there, but fans were available. We did try opening the front windows, and they helped, but we never felt that breeze we were promised. When the front room got too warm, we cooled off at the beach or went into the back rooms that stayed cool during most of the day. The kitchen was fully stocked and the stove was roomy. The bathroom was small, but had good water pressure and lots of extra towels in the closet. There were lots of toys and treasures for the kiddos. The TV worked without a problem. Directions were helpful. The beds were comfortable. The location is wonderful, with the beach a short walk away and the town within walking distance. A few suggestions to help spruce things up, would be to wash or paint over the scuffs on the walls, check for cobwebs inside, by the outdoor shower and seating areas. The home shows its been well loved, but it also needs some of its wrinkles ironed out. Overall it was cozy and sweet.

This was a fantastic property, 500 feet from the beach, walking distance to restaurants, stores, close to train station and the center of town. Beautifully decorated with all conveniences. Great little place by the beach
The house was exceptionally clean and was perfect for our little group. Neighborhood was very quiet and only a five minute walk to the beach. It was a very warm weekend so it was a little warm even with the fans, however, any other time I would assume the fans and ocean breeze is enough to be comfortable. The management was very responsive and available.
