La pega que veo es la distancia; no es que esté lejos, a unos cinco minutos caminando de la playa, el problema es la cuesta que hay que subir para llegar. "We were warmly welcomed by Ute who showed us around the apartment. It is a good size and well equipped, the highlight being the covered terrace with lovely sea view where we enjoyed many meals. We were a little surprised that access is down 25 stone steps from where the car is parked on the road above - this could be a problem for some and should be mentioned. The only oven is the microwave which is now a little dated. Overall however we enjoyed our stay and had a great holiday. "

"After traveling all day it took us an hour to get our key( at a separate location 1/2 away with traffic) and then we had to wait for the garage door opener ( at a separate location where someone had to bring it, 20 minute wait). The information/welcome packet was not detailed enough. It said wifi code was in the apartment but it wasn’t. I called the number in VRBO and the owner(?) was very irritated and said I needed to call the management company. They couldn’t help. Had to find the password on...

We love RIU Monica and Nerja

"We always enjoy our stay at RIU Monica. It is very easy to arrive by car, plenty of room in front of the hotel to arrive then find a parking spot or use hotel parking lot. I really enjoy room with a balcony, rooms and the hotel are very, very clean. Gym has a few bikes, rowing machine, eliptical, treadmill, and a few weight machines. There are so many great spaces inside and outside the hotel. Both breakfast and dinner are excellent, you can sit outside over the ocean (by heaters if needed). The restaurant staff is incredible, very professional. This is adults only hotel. Also, it is an easy hour drive to the Alhambra (drive up and spend a night at Aurea Washington Irving, also very easy to pull up and take your time to get in and staff will park your car for $25 a night, you can easily walk to Alhambra from hotel). We are usually in Nerja in January, weather is generally 60s and sunny, water temp is also around 60 so swimming is not too bad. We are in our mid 60s and are very active, this hotel really suits us well."

"Good hostal - clean and central, friendly helpful staff. Just a few minor things- no bin in the room (only a tiny one in the bathroom), nothing to hang towels on in the bathroom, a few hooks on the back of the door would help! No full length mirror which is annoying when you’re on holiday and want to see your outfits! "
