Great lil gem in the heart of Venice
Maurizio was a great host. He also helped me sort a surprise for my mum's birthday. The apartment is nestled away next to a famous theatre but everything is within 10 - 15 min walking distance - EVERYTHING! The Rialto bridge and Vaporetto stop (to / from the airport) is about 5 mins away. Campo San Giacomo di Rialto which was a meeting point for a few of our tours was 5 - 7 mins away. This place is very very central. The apartment looks exactly like the pictures and it is very spacious. There was also a working cooker and pots/pans/condiments if you did indeed want to cook. No hesitation to recommend this place at all

Broken fridge
Just returned from 4 nights stay in flat 4 on top floor. Met by host 10 mins after arrival. Stairs to flat were manageable but may be difficult for some people. The stairway also had the bad sewage drain smell. First impressions flat 4 is a duplex flat with kitchen bathroom and dining on ground floor and bedroom with sitting area up another very steep set of wooden stairs. There is a lovely private veranda overlooking the roof tops. Host explained to us that the fridge was broken and the coffee machine was leaking. He stated the fridge would be replaced the following day. The following day no new fridge appeared and I again spoke to the host who stated it would maybe now be the following day!! Needless to say the fridge never appeared during our four night stay. This severely restricted the use of the apartment as we were unable to use the apartment to eat in. Not a problem you might say as were in Venice with plenty of places to eat out. Wrong it rained solidly for the 4 days we were there which has caused severe flooding to the south of Venice!! Contacted the host on our departure to complain about the fridge and lack of communication. Overall we were disappointed with the accommodation and would not recommend.

We originally booked a two-night stay with this property. Overall, the entire building - from the entrance to the apartment unit itself - felt very unsafe and unclean. We arrived for our check-in (any time between 2-9PM) and no one was available at the front desk. The building manager spoke to us over the intercom and was able to unlock the door remotely without even verifying our information. The blinds were broken and unable to be closed creating an immense lack of privacy. Our unit was dusty as if it had not been cleaned since the previous guest(s). Additionally, there were leftover water bottles from the previous guest(s) in the fridge. We decided to end our stay that same night and check into another hotel. We had left a jacket in the closet and when we reached out to the manager to see if it was found, he said nothing was left. This either shows that the managers do not clean out the units between visits or they choose to keep guests’ items without any sort of “Lost and Found”. Happy we left the property early and found a more accommodating hotel. Would not recommend this property to anyone.

It was very well located, updated and clean. My only complaint was that we had trouble unlocking the door with the key - had to try it several times to get it to open on multiple occasions. We never could figure out the secret. Great place! I would stay again.

Although the property was clean and well situated, the check is process was the WORST I have ever experienced. I asked to leave my bags in the morning but never heard back, so I left them elsewhere and went to explore. An hour before I had planned to leave the bags, they finally sent an email, but I had already deposited them elsewhere. He could have called or texted, but instead he waited and got more and more angry, even though I was the one who had to arrange alternative storage due to his lack of timely reply. The man is charge of checking in was incredibly RUDE and hung up the phone on me FIVE TIMES, including when I tried to get help finding the property later that day. (Google will map you to the opposite side of a small canal which cannot be crossed here). I would explain the correct method of finding the property, but I strongly recommend against staying here. I was literally begging the man to explain how to find the front door and he was just yelling at me and hung up several times. He was a complete a**hole, and this was even more notable since we had just come from staying at Residenza La Osmarin, where the proprietress obviously lived in the building and was incredibly gracious and sweet. This place is clearly run by a company renting out multiple apartments and having them managed by someone who does not give a crap. It’s the hospitality industry. This manager was inhospitable, rude, hostile, and impatient. Stay elsewhere!!!

Expedia told me to contact the hotel directly to receive a voucher for the canceled reservation, I contacted the hotel and they told me to contact Expedia to get the voucher just waiting to arrive the day of my stay to don't give me anything.
