"The hotel was out of town which was fine lovely and quiet the breakfast set up was excellent and the the whole facilities and the staff were also excellent , the bar should have stayed open abit later for guests as after 2 hectic nights out we needed a drink or a coffee to relax after the eagles nite as the city transport back to hotel at 11pm it’s a shame that was very stressful but the hotel was very nice and we all enjoyed our stay "

"We were a group of 12 retired gentlemen staying for the 80th anniversary of the battle for Arnhem and this hotel was ideally situated, apart from the distance away from the Railway Station, this was a problem The staff, food, facilities and service was great, and we all enjoyed the trip and would use the hotel again."

"Cosy little building with two bedrooms, a living room, shower room and kitchenette. Comfortable, clean, nicely furnished. Outside, a large patio with seating for 8 people, two tables, a washing hangar and a lawned/grass area. All surrounded by trees and bushes/flowers. Althouhg next to the main road, it was quiet and peaceful. I will book again for next year!"

"I traveled here back in 2023 and my stay at Haarhuis was quite lovely, albeit smaller rooms than I'm used to, but such is the European/Netherlands way (they all have smaller rooms.) "I booked a hotel with a double bed and a swimming pool. Both were available when I booked, but when we arrived pool was not in use and hotel room was two single beds pushed together. When I complained about this i was told that hotel had no double beds even though it was on the hotel website. Room had lots of scimmel, absolutely discusting."

"The room was tiny, dirty and stuffy with no AC to help regulate the temperature. We had to pay extra for a bed that I would have assumed came with the room as I booked it for three people. Staff were often not around at the front desk to help, because they were short staffed. Machines in the games room, stopped working (although a discount was offered when this happened). Beautiful surroundings, excellent service

"We thoroughly enjoyed our too short stay. Staff were very friendly, the food in the restaurant was very good. The room was spacious with big windows and a nice bathroom. The beds were comfortable although we would have preferred a double bed"

Hotel review

"Hotel is in a good location for those that want to walk to Veluwe direct from the hotel. Its a little secluded so if your not eating in the hotel you will need to drive to somewhere in the surrounding area for dinner. Restaurant had ltd menu so we didn’t eat there. We did have lunch & drinks in the hotel bar which has both a nice indoor & outdoor area. The outdoor pool was heated so I enjoyed my morning swim followed by a decent enough breakfast (included in the price) The rooms are very dated & a little uncomfortable, lights above the bed meant you couldn’t sit up for reading without risking the chance you would do yourself in injury. The aircon was useless & the bed was just too soft meaning our two night stay left us both a little sleep deprived. "
