"Rooms needs to be renovated to the five stars hotel level, specially bathrooms. There were hard water marks everywhere in the bathroom also on a wood floor in the main area of our room. Someone probably spilled something on a hardwood floor previously. Buffet breakfast and dinner is average, food was not hot, waiter had to warm our food in the microwave. I would not consider this hotel as a five stars property. "

"We had a lovely stay in one of the AC rooms, which had its own small seating area and was very private and peaceful. A haven from the busy Varkala. The gardens here are beautiful and well kept, the staff all sweet and attentive and helpful, available 24hr. The breakfast included at their restaurant nearby was also great. But it was quite loud at night due to neighbouring properties, but maybe due to being there in peak season! "

Whilst booking we had called the hotel that we particularly want the floating room when booked with expedia but not given. Even the staff is lousy. "The pictures posted to advertise this place and rating as 4-star was deceiving. We booked deluxe rooms, on entry the reception area was dark, no proper lighting and looked like we walked into haunted place. On entry to room, all I can smell was cigarettes smoke, room was unkempt, the walls were filthy, peeling of wallpapers or paint, stained chairs, flickering light in the toilet, chipped cups etc.. List gets bigger and bigger, I don't want to waste any further time with a review for this hotel...
