"Wonderful Hotel, it was such a cool place to stay and walk around and explore history so close. The hike up the mountain was an adventure and worth the views. Definitely a must when visiting Greece."

"Love the location and main bedroom. Breakfast was great. Staff was excellent. Due to the restrictions the government places on restoring ancient structures the bathroom was tiny, and you couldn’t stand to take a shower. Negative that isn’t their fault due to restoring restrictions. Other than that, very nice place to stay at. "

"Absolutely magical town and adorable accommodations, but you may want to avoid if you have any elders in your traveling party. There are many steep, uneven, and slanted steps within the castle and down to the Ardamis hotel. I did not realize when I booked that the rooms would be multi-level, with bathrooms and beds separated by several stairs or up/down a whole flight. Definitely not ideal for the 90-year old man we had traveling with us! The host was SO kind though, letting us view all the available rooms to find the one that would work best for us. She really bent over backwards to help us, and I would stay there again (next time without my elderly father-in-law). The rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. It felt like sleeping in a luxurious castle! I wish we had spent a 3rd night; only 1 full day in Monemvasia was not enough. The hike to the top was spectacular, and you have to stop at the wine, honey, and olive oil shop for tastings (and to bring home tasty souvenirs)!"

"This hotel is a wonderful retreat. It’s very relaxing with beautiful scenery. Close enough to go explore or just hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. The pools are beautiful, the gardens are wonderful. The landscaping is fabulous. We had dinner in the restaurant one night. It was amazing. But nothing compares to the breakfast each morning. I’ve never seen anything like it. The food was absolutely scrumptious. This is a wonderful hotel that I would definitely stay in again."

"Situated almost immediately by the bridge to the island, AKTAION Hotel was quite comfortable, and well positioned for restaurants. My room was one of the smaller ones, but it’s balcony faced the island and the sea. I would most happily stay there again if the opportunity occurs. "

"Amazing views from our balcony. Lots of parking. Many seaside restaurants in town. Good breakfast. A bit of an uphill climb from town."
