Less than 10 minutes walk along the pavement, you reach the historic centre of San Mateo where you can enjoy, on weekends, its famous Agricultural market, with authentic Canarian flavour, and Crafts, as well as up to nine hiking trails that depart from the Vega de San Mateo to multiple points of the island.
In the centre of San Mateo there are several restaurants and cafés. The nearest supermarket is 700 m away and can be reached in 8 minutes on foot or 1 minute by car. The municipality of Vega de San Mateo is located in the centre of Gran Canaria and has several access routes from any point of the island. Las Canteras beach, the nearest beach, is 20 km away and can be reached by car in 28 minutes. The international airport of Gran Canaria is 31 minutes away by car (31.2 km).
