Good out of the way villa
An excellent location if ( like us) you want an out of the way spot, good base to explore the north and northwest of the island. 10-15 min walk into the town.

Perfection
We were a party of 5 and stayed at Vega de San Mateo for a week in early March 2019. From the moment we made first contact with Lucas following our booking everything flowed very smoothly. We were guided by Lucas to the property on arrival at San Mateo which is an easy 45 minute drive from the airport. Once there Lucas gave us a guided tour around his fabulous property which proved to be rather more than your average holiday home. The facilities were brilliant, drawers and cupboards fully stocked to meet the needs of even the most ardent chef and, above all, it was spotlessly clean. The arrival package included local bread, milk, cold meats and a couple of bottles of wine; more than enough to get you going. We benefitted from the underfloor heating which made the cooler nights very comfortable. Outside was equally good especially the ‘party’ room which contained quite the best outdoor kitchen area I have ever seen. Our stay passed all too quickly and it was with some sadness that we headed back to the airport. During our stay we had a minor issue with the internet connection which Lucas fixed within a few minutes of being told about it. San Mateo is well placed in terms of giving you access to Las Palmas and the north of GC. The town has many shops and bars, a couple of good supermarkets and a market which takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However, our main purpose was to enjoy the marvellous walks around the centre of the island and access to these was a 25 minutes drive away which was easy when you get use to the well surfaced but winding mountain roads. Overall a brilliant stay in a lovely property which is a great credit to Lucas who was a most attentive host. If we return to GC this will be our house of choice! Mike,Wendy Ed,Tricia & Sylvia

Einfach perfekt zum ruhigen autarken urlauben...
Lucas ist ein aufmerksamer und gastfreundlicher Vermieter, der uns mit gefülltem Kühlschrank und riesigem Obstkorb einen herzlichen Empfang bereitet hat. Er spricht leider nur Spanisch, hat aber immer Google Translate dabei und notfalls einen Freund ("Chef"), der englisch spricht. Das Haus ist perfekt und detailverliebt eingerichtet und es mangelte uns an absolut gar nichts. Und selbst wenn es so gewesen wäre hätte uns der hilfsbereite Lucas stets ein offenes Ohr geschenkt und unsere Wünsche umgehend erfüllt. Es gibt auf dem Gelände noch eine Waschküche und einen großen Partyraum mit Grill, Pizzaofen, Bar, PA-Musikanlage. Der Außenbereich ist noch nicht ganz fertig, es wird aber in großen Schritten an der Entwicklung gearbeitet. So soll der kleine Aufbaupool in Kürze gegen einen richtigen, eingelassenen Pool ersetzt werden. Es werden mehr Pflanzen folgen und Fliesen/Natursteine auf den jetzigen Betongrund verlegt. Auch ein Springbrunnen und hübsche Beleuchtung auf der Mauer soll kurzfristig installiert werden. Insgesamt eignet sich das Domizil sowohl für Ausflügler in die Berge als auch Urlauber, die etwas entfernt vom Massentourismus einen idyllischen Rückzugsort zur Erholung suchen. Es gibt Deutsches Satelliten-TV, eine Bluetooth-fähige Stereoanlage mit Lautsprechern im gesamten Haus und einen 25Mbit LTE-Internetzugang. Klimaanlage und Unterbodenheizung sorgen stets für wohltemperierte Umgebung, 3 Schlafzimmer und 2 Bäder bieten eine geräumige Unterbringung für bis zu 8 Personen. Die Ausstattung und der gesamte Haushalt könnten nicht perfekter sein! Wir danken Lucas für diese tolle Woche auf Gran Canaria, wünschen ihm viel Erfolg bei den weiteren Ausbauten und können diese Unterkunft ohne Vorbehalte empfehlen! Traumhaus in traumhafter Lage
Das Haus, welches wir bewohnten,war in einem TipTop1A--Zustand, alles war in einem einwandfreien Zustand und mit viel Liebe zum Detail, besonders hervorzuheben ist hier das "Grillhaus", welches sich diesen Namen wirklich verdient! Auch die Küchenausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen! Fragen an den Vermieter wurden jederzeit sofort beantwortet und mit viel Aufwand beschrieben ;-). Alles in allem jederzeit sofort wieder.
