"Cozy, friendly, great location for visiting Vik, the lighthoise amd black sand beaches. Clean. "

"The room and bathroom were relatively small but worked for us. We did not like the hot tubs and they were not warm enough, only 38C. Sauna was ok. We enjoyed the breakfast, good selection and good coffee."

"The staff at Hotel Ranga are extremely accommodating, helpful and friendly. I visited on a family trip and the hotel staff were responsive and helped to book all our excursions through the hotel in Iceland. We also had last minute changes to our excursions and the staff helped my family make changes to our itinerary very last minute."

"The guesthouse is surrounded by pure beauty of which we were in awe. The host was so sweet and we felt safe & comfortable during our stay. "This property is exactly what it looks like in pictures. Its cute and small. The only drawback I had was that there was no hot water in the shower.."

"We enjoyed our stay at the guesthouse! Everything was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant the night of our arrival and highly recommend it, breakfast was great too! Lastly, we were able to see the northern lights on property and enjoyed not needing to travel to see them."

So grateful for the “wake up call” service when the Northern Lights were present as this was a bucket list experience for me. "This was an amazing hotel. It is perfect for persons going on excursion/trip. The rooms are simple but the beds are comfortable. They have a hot tub outside, which was more than welcome. The staff is very nice and accomodating."

"Beautiful cozy cottages, modern amenities, close driving distance to waterfalls. Isolated, low light pollution great for stargazing and northern lights. The loft cottages have upper loft floor with sky window, very cool. For a couple with or without small child is enough space. Communication with access instructions was easy. People have complained about inflexible cancellation policy, but these are family-run cottages, not a big hotel, so they depend on the income and last minute cancellations...

Charming hotel in beautiful surroundings

"We have a lovely one night stay at Skalakot. It’s very charming, simple hotel in beautiful surroundings. The bed was comfy and the shower was good. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The spa was small but nice, gets quite cramped if there are more than 4 people in there. I think it would benefit from an outdoor hot tub. Dinner was nice, breakfast was ok. "

"Excellent hotel, very courteous staff, breakfast was superb with lots of choices. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms was big, excellent design, very clean, water pressure was excellent, even had heated floors which felt great. In short lovely hotel, will definitely stay there in the future."
