"A delightful property in a stunning location in the middle of the Dordogne countryside. The house has plenty of grounds in which to roam or play and the family particularly enjoyed the swimming pool and games room. All facilities are provided in the house and if we wanted any additional equipment, such as a barbeque, we only had to ask. Eileen and Richard were the perfect hosts and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. We had a perfect, relaxing week and will definitely be returning."

"Fabulous week in the Dordogne based at this property - very rural and quiet but lots of lovely towns and Chateau’s and other things to see and do in the region so you will need a hire car to get around. The Gîte is superbly welcoming and comfortable - has everything you need for your stay. Craig and Caroline are fantastic hosts too, full of great advice beforehand when planning your stay and also on hand if needed while there. If I could 6 stars here I would! "

"After reading the reviews we decided to take a punt and book the holiday. I’m so glad we did! All the reviews (good and bad) are spot on. The property is ‘rustic’. There are no frills but the layout of the house was perfect for 2 families and it is spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need. We all forgot towels and Lucie was at the door before I had even signed off. "

"Lovely cosy farmhouse in a great location. Hot tub was a bonus. Perfect for up to 4 people, but anymore may be a tight fit if weather not good and you were not able to use the outside space. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Saint Avit Senieur. Would recommend."

"Our two year old son loved the outdoor area: chasing the ducks, watching tia the dog and the horses being cooled down with water. The sandpit (boulles area!) was his favourite and we really appreciated the fenced swimming pool with 2 locks. No need to bring any toys, lots of games were provided. "We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
