This newly renovated, 825 square foot (77 meters), garden-level suite has all the creature comforts of a Bed and Breakfast and is located in the central and popular Kitsilano neighborhood of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Guests will find the beach, Granville Island, tennis courts, South Granville, Fourth Avenue shopping, and some of Vancouver’s best restaurants all within walking distance. Self-contained with a private entrance accessible 24 hours per day.

The Arbutus Suite features two bedrooms with a queen-size bed, dresser, and plenty of closet space in one bedroom and twin beds in the second bedroom. Also included a full-size private bathroom, with a soaker tub and heated floors, en-suite laundry, cable television, DVD player, phone with unlimited local calls and voicemail, along with a computer with high-speed Internet connection.- Ground level 825 square foot (77m) self-contained two-bedroom suite with private entrance.

Cozy Home in Super Area
Planned 3 nights in Kitsilano with our adult son who was getting ready to move into his new apartment. Could not have been happier. The kitchen is well set up for cooking in house - something we appreciate. It was VERY clean and we certainly valued the free parking at the back lane way. Theresa was great.

Great homebase - perfect for families, close to everything!
I initially had a few issues getting in touch with the host after I reserved and paid several months ago, sending multiple messages without reply, but once I was able to get in touch with Theresa via text message (received telephone number a day before we went), communication was a breeze. The reserved parking in the back laneway is very welcome in a city devoid of parking unless you have a permit, and the english garden is a lovely sight to see in the morning. The suite itself was bright, spacious and clean, despite being a partial basement suite. All amenities were provided, including toiletries and laundry soap - we only had to buy a few things such as dish gloves, and an extra dish towel or two, as well as a few grocery items. Theresa was aware that we had two children with us, and the fridge was stocked with milk, orange juice, and fruit when we arrived. I stayed for 8 days with my two young daughters, who shared a room with comfy twin beds and luxurious down comforters, and my mother stayed in the extra bedroom. I myself stayed on the pull out in the living room which had a thinner mattress but was still comfortable. Steps to Burrard with good restaurants and a convenient shoppers drug mart, and super easy access to downtown via the Burrard bridge. We will be staying here again for our trip out to Vancouver again next year. Thank you so much!

This condo worked beautifully for my family of 2 adults and 2 young boys for our 8 night stay in Vancouver. The outdoor area was perfect for the kids to kick a soccer ball or play catch and we enjoyed eating our meals at the condo outdoors on the patio. The owner was responsive to our needs and addressed a couple of small concerns that arose during our stay. The neighbourhood is quiet but lots of amenities in short walking or driving distance including great restaurants and grocery stores. Very short walk to the nearest bus stop. Travelling with kids, we really appreciated having laundry, outdoor space, a fully functional kitchen and a large bathroom. The condo is very nicely finished. We would certainly return to this condo when we travel to Vancouver again.

Functional basement apartment 10 mins from downtown.
The building has multiple VRBO-listed apartments. We stayed in a basement apartment, two bedrooms, with two couples and a small baby. Location is simple enough to downtown - take a bus or a short ($10-14) cab ride - and near multiple restaurants, and Kitsilano beach. The apartment was clean and modern. Theresa, who manages these apartments, was helpful throughout. A few things could be improved: provide more towels, provide a book of local amenities - and instructions on recycling, check-out etc - and clean the living area rug. At the height of summer (admittedly not a long period) the apartments small fans will struggle to keep you cool.

Wonderful place and lovely host!
Location is excellent. Apartment is well appointed and clean. Theresa welcomed us warmly and checked in regularly (but not at all intrusively). The beds were comfortable. Only downside is if you need to use the pull out bed, there are no light blocking shades on windows or sliding door in the family room area. Minor issue and we would stay here again regardless. The gardens are also beautiful, but we were too busy enjoying Vancouver to linger!

It is great to be so close to West Broadway and also to 4th Avenue. Everything you need is there. Minutes from Kitsilano beach which is amazing. Apartment was great. Easy parking in the back. Wifi was a bit spotty. Equipped kitchen. Cozy space. Theresa was attentive whenever we had a concern.

Convenient rental and nice owner
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We stayed at Theresa's Cypress unit, which was rather conveniently located on W. 10th avenue. Theresa was very nice and very accommodating. Whenever we needed something she was quick to reply and help. For example, we the wifi didn't work well on the first day of our stay and once we alerted her to this she helped solve the problem. The kitchen is nicely equipped and it was pretty easy to organize meals, which was very useful. There are two reasons for me giving the place only four stars. One is the beds at the unit, and the other has to do with an excess of bugs (not roaches, but beetles and moths). With respect to the beds, although the description of the unit states that it sleeps six, the sleeping arrangements are not very convenient if you have older children. My two teenage sons (ages 16 and 18) had to share a double bed, which was not ideal. Overall, the beds were not very comfortable. The second problem had to do with the many beetles and moths in the apartment. But other than that, we enjoyed our stay there and appreciate Theresa's hospitality.

Property was in a reasonable location and within walking distance to many local shops and restaurants. Parking was an asset as residential neighborhoods have limited parking. The appliances and bedding were very clean. The furniture and beds were well used and a little tired looking but mostly functional. Wifi connection is strong and suitable for multiple devices. The owner is on the premises if you need anything and is helpful.
