RIVER FRONT HOUSE

Spend your days on the private gravel bar and your evening grilling burgers on the screened porch. Bring your own tubes, kayaks or rafts and float right up to the house. No other place like this in VanBuren mo. House is located 2 miles down stream from the HWY 60 bridge and has two acres of manicured grass yard and comes with grill and outdoor fire pit and down stairs restroom. House has three beds.. but if you bring air mattress, we ask you limit capacity to ten people.

Eclipse Trip

River getaway
We stayed for a short midweek getaway. We have the river to ourselves and caught several fish. The house was perfect and the porch was the best part!

Great location private and quiet
Had family weekend on the Current and this property was perfect for our group. Playing cards and board games on the very large screened in porch. Sitting out by the fire pit enjoying adult beverages after dark was great. The elevated house provided a huge covered area in the event of rain. Highly recommend this riverfront home.

Relaxing River
The house was easy to find per Brian's instructions and the views and location were ideal. Lots of boats on Saturday, but it didn't deter us from lounging in the river all afternoon. Most needed water therapy! The house was very comfortable and the screened in porch was amazing! We saw deer and geese and an adorable chubby little ground hog. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Brian for sharing this gem of a property.

Family time
We loved everything about it it was perfect the only thing is maybe weed eat a little further down for fire pit didn't have as many bugs but it's outside in the middle of summer so the bugs will be there we had issue with air conditioning the host was fast to respond and fix it we will definitely do it again

River cabin stay
Rental was clean inside, but the deck area needs attention. There was a thick layer of pollen on all the furniture, and a dead bird in the center of the floor. It was filthy. It appeared as if the deck hadn't had attention or cleaning for a long time. It definitely was not prepared fir the rental.

Perfect spot on the river
Host was Johnny on the spot when we had a couple of questions. The pictures don’t give this place justice! It’s so nice and clean and has everything you need! Sits right on the river and even has tubes to use! Be sure to check out the link provided when you book. I thought it was just a what band is playing for the weekend link but it has what’s going on in the area as well. If I would have clicked on the link I would have seen they had boat races that weekend and could have planned accordingly!! It was a perfect house for the perfect weekend!

Beautiful View Along the Current
My family group of five adults enjoyed our two nights here. The view and access to the Current was amazing. There are trees and vegetation between the house and river that allow for so many wonderful opportunities for bird watching right from the back screened in porch. We saw a bald eagle both mornings hunting just across the river. Other birds we saw were blue heron, green heron, cedar waxwings, hummingbirds, tons of warblers, red winged blackbirds, pileated woodpeckers, and a whippoorwill at dusk. We cooked breakfast and dinner both days and there was adequate cookware and tableware. The two secondary bedrooms are very small but the beds were comfortable, just not space for anything else. They do both have closets. The gas grill under the house worked well for cooking our meat. Overall it was a great experience.

Nice river front location
The property itself is pretty great given that you get direct access to the river and have beds and air conditioning. The beds are squeaky and not amazingly comfortable but they sure beat camping. I think the grill was brand new, which is nice. The big downside for us was how dirty the furniture on the screened porch was. We had to clean it all off ourselves to feel comfortable using it. The address on the listing was not correct and while I was getting good responses from the host a week prior when he reached out to give me the right one, I did not get responses to my questions a few days before check in nor when there was confusion about the check in process. Fortunately we figured it out on our own in the end.

Weekend getaway
Clean cabin with your own private access to the river. The screened in deck was amazing. The gnats are terrible so bring plenty of bug spray. That's why the deck is amazing. It's was a quiet peaceful weekend. We also got to see 3 bald eagles all weekend.

Beautiful view
We really enjoyed the view and the access to water. The kids were able to play and we were able to sit and watch them. The house was nice but the kitchen is small and doesn’t have a lot of utensils to use. The bed were not made when we arrived but there were sheets piled on the beds. There also were not a lot of towels. We did find them in the dryer when we went to wash the towels that we had used. I just figured the beds would be made and the towels would be put away when we had gotten there since we pay a cleaning fee. Other than these things the house was nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Current River Private Sandbar
Stayed 3 nights with friends to kayak Current River. Easy access to the private sandbar from the house. Very short walk. Beautiful views of the river from the screened in porch. House was clean and had everything we needed. Just a few minutes drive to town and the Landing. Will definitely stay again!
