"Lovely little apartment steps from the beach, but a little further from old town than we would have preferred. Perfect if you are going to Rethymno for the beach and water sports; we were there for a wedding, and all of our friends were staying in old town, so it felt far away from nightlife, etc, but we never had a problem finding a cab to and from - there is a taxi stand right at the end of the street from the apartment. "At the price this place is a bargain. Stellios (the landlord) is friendly and helpful. Replacing the dining table with a smaller one placed under the window and an additional easy chair would improve the usability but it is an ideal pied a terre for exploring the area. A car is advisable and you really need to like cats, one of Stellios' made a determined effort to move in with us."

Lots of parking, good restaurant on site, and really friendly staff who arranged a baby cot and chair well before we checked in! Only thing is the rooms have a slightly dated decor. Very small tvs and old style coffee filter. Might benefit from a small upgrade to nespresso and slightly better entertainment system. But these are minor issues. "I had torn my achilles tendon just before my stay here so accessibility was an issue to some degree. No rooms had ramps or had ground floor accessibility. Other than that, the staff were great, breakfast was fantastic. Lunch was meh, dinner was really nice at the stone restaurant. My family had rented a car so we were a short 20 min drive into old town Chania which was gorgeous. "
