We spent about a week in the property and overall had a good time, but this house seems to cater to drinking/partying adults, not families.
It seems that the SPA had been trashed by the previous guests, so the water was still murky when we arrived and had to be cleaned and filtered several times that day.
The neighborhood was not pretty: lots of potholes on the streets, many, many old cars that looked abandoned, run down houses, etc. Once you're inside the property, the view of the valley is great.
The kitchen and one bathroom seemed recently remodeled, the rest of the house was run down: bumpy floors, creaky doors that get stuck, rusty hinges, paint patches on walls, noisy furnace (when it worked)
PROS:
Common areas are comfortable.
Kitchen has newer appliances.
Host answers texts promptly and is willing to drop items that you need.
CONS:
Beds are uncomfortable (squeaky and bouncy) We ended up dropping the mattresses to the floor.
Thermostat was not working.
Dishes, silverware and glasses were mismatched and not enough for 5 people (3 glasses, 1 teaspoon, cracked mugs, etc)
Kitchen had leftover perishable and non-perishable food items from previous guests.
Master bathroom seems to have a humidity problem, there were several spots where mold was coming out of the wall.
You can hear highway traffic from the master bedroom at night (many sirens and trucks)
