Charming hotel in Charming City
The town of Valkenburg is amazing and the hotel is situated right in the middle of the town, next to all the attractions with very easy access. Hotel staff is very nice and welcoming, the room was pleasant and clean, couldn't ask for more. The only recommendation is about the breakfast. A very small and same selection everyday. I would suggest to refresh the selection a bit. Overall a very good experience.

Op een super locatie gelegen hotel. Ondanks dat de service prima was en ook de klantvriendelijkheid, parkeergelegenheid en het ontbijt toch een paar kanttekeningen. Alles wat je nodig hebt, is aanwezig echter het is allemaal wat gedateerd, her en der beschadigd, rookmelder afgeplakt, het hele hotel is waarschijnlijk nooit rookvrij geweest want het ruikt continue overal naar rook, wifi niet overal bereikbaar.

Een wat verouderd hotel maar prima voor een kort verblijf. Men doet in ieder geval alle moeite het zo comfortabel en netjes mogelijk te houden. Gewoon goede basisvoorzieningen, niks aparts. Opmerking t.a.v. ontbijt (is persoonlijk en geen kritiek): zou een ander sapje serveren, dit lijkt net aanmaak met een sterke zoetstof smaak. Maar gezien de grote afname denken andere mensen er anders over. Ook zou ik schaaltjes (geen diepe borden) doen voor de yoghurt en ongezoete yoghurt. Nu leek alles gezoet (maar heb ze niet allemaal geproefd; alleen de witte). Perfecte ligging en fijn dat men een prive-parkeerplaats heeft tegen een schappelijk tarief.

kraaknet, gedateerd, gehorig en broeiend heet
De ontvangst was vriendelijk en de kamer was kraaknet. Verder een grote ruime parking en de ligging is TOP, maar .... bij aankomst was de 4sterrenkamer vreselijk warm (geen airco, raam was niet opengezet). De kamer leek minder groot door de lange smalle vorm. Kamers en heel het hotel zijn echt gedateerd (uitgezonder nieuw sanitair in dichte badkamer) en zeer gehorig. Wij gaan veel op hotel maar dit was de slechtste hotelnacht van het jaar: kamer naast ons, 2 en zelfs 3 kamers verder kan je horen hoe er gepraat werd... wij hebben amper geslapen. Ontbijt : zeer vriendelijke bediening, eten was minimaal. Alles was er maar in minimale uitvoering, geen toaster, ei alleen gekookt, koffie niet te drinken, alleen zachte broodjes en snee brood.... Voor die prijs mag je wat anders verwachten. Toen we de volgende ochtend dit hebben aangehaald werd onze klacht verhaald op de andere hotelgasten die niet weten hoe ze zich moeten gedragen en dat we de eigenaar uit zijn bed hadden moeten bellen.....jammer vd service ! Een zeer grondige opknapbeurt, een nieuwe wind erdoor en je maakt hier een topper van !

Schoon en netjes.
Keurig net, schoon en verzorgd hotel. Wij hadden een budgetkamer. Schoon en netjes. Eigen douche en wc. Nadeel is de wasbak in de kamer, maar we hadden ook een andere kamer kunnen reserveren . Prima verzorgd en compleet ontbijt.

Prima verblijf in Kerststad Valkenburg
Prachtig dorp in de heuvels van Limburg. Kerstmarkten in de Gemeentegrot en de Fluweelengrot bezocht. Prachtige tekeningen en schilderijen op de wanden in de grotten. Ook het dorp is volop in kerstsfeer. Heerlijk gegeten in het Mexicaans restaurant El Castillo dicht bij het hotel. Limburgse vlaai geproefd in het fraai gelegen De Haselderhof.
