"the location is great, especially if you're in your 20's and like to party til 4 am. The apartment had a strong smell of mold and had little to no ventilation. The toilet didn't work and we had to manually flush. The kitchen is a hot plate and infested with ants.. The bed in the bed room reminds me of prison. The art in the living room was horrific, an old picture of the twin towers above a fire extinguisher. I'll never stay here again "

"Beautiful accommodation in beautiful surroundings. The apartment was stunning, well equipped and cleaned daily. The Belmar is a 5 minute walk from the beach. However, the location is quite isolated if you have no car. The nearest mini-market is a 20 minute walk and there are limited bars or restaurants within walking distance although there is a restaurant and a small bar on site. Lagos old town is a 45 minute walk, so a taxi is needed. "

"Nice rooms, book one with a balcony, totally worth it. Room without a balcony is not worth the cost. Great pools, fantastic hotel location. On our first day we were told by another guest how to find a walkway directly to the old town, less than 5 minute walk. Also, easy walk to waterfront and Ponta de Piedade."
