"It was ok for the price we paid. There was some complications trying to contact the host to arrange check in but we got in ok on arrival . Room was ok, quite basic , no facilities to make a hot drink. There was not much loo roll provided for 2 nights Relying on public transport, it was a fair walk to town on rough path right by main road "

"The hotel is good, we loved the location and the building, they provided a very good breakfast. The pool was around 27 degres and the hot tub at body tempera. We did not like the carpet in the room, it was old, dirty, stained, too bad this was a turn off as you enter the room. Otherwise everything was good. "

"The staff were very friendly and accommodated an earlier breakfast for us. Unfortunately the beds were not super comfortable and we were woken up by sounds throughout the night. We thought it was in a secluded location and not a major thoroughfare. The room was a nice size for a family of 4."

"We are experienced long term travelers who are always up for a 'unique' stay at a great price. This hotel definitely had the price point going for it and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant also looked cool, but it was empty with a strange vibe of haunted.....where were the staff? "I stayed here only 2 nights. the place itself is beautiful overlooking the mountain . Place was clean and vey comfortable. breakfast is very good and so is dinner. Now for the negative no receptionist to welcome you. If you go late you stay outside. Too many bus loads of hikers stay there and they are catered to 1st Since i did not get a paper of when to check out i did not know. "We stayed in the Suite, which had a big bedroom for us and a smaller one for the kids. The architecture and decorations resemble Transylvanian roots with a modern touch. We loved the pressed artwork and wished we could buy one to take home :). The pillows, bedsheets and towels were high quality. And the shower head had all sorts of "massaging modes" that were amazing after a hike. Same attention to detail is showcased throughout the property. "The owners went out of their way to provide any service they can to make the stay enjoyable. They went above and beyond by doing some laundry then refused any payment. I was extremely grateful because we were running out of clean clothes. The rooms were amazing. The restaurant provided one of the finest meals we had during our trip. The property was tranquil and relaxing."

Refurbished barn looking over the mountains - 20 min away from Dracula's Castle

"Incredible views, peace and quiet in a rural out of the way location. Very romantic and private. It does not have the A/C, if it’s important to you, but the temperature in the mountains is cooler than the rest of the country and you may even find yourself reaching for a sweater in the evening when outside. Great hiking, biking and horse riding available in the village. Breakfast is plentiful (and included) made of a daily local meat and cheese platter, country bread, vegetables, and fresh eggs. Jogurt, milk and fruit on request. The food lasted us the whole day! But the hosts also offer homemade lunch and dinner on request and you can’t eat it all. Over 4 days we only ate out once and refused breakfast one day we were so stuffed! Bran castle, Brasov and Peles Castle in Sinaia are a quick drive away and the Saxon fortified churches in Prejmar and Harman are right outside Brasov too. The best part are the hosts - always available to communicate, give recommendation, and even check on opening status of attractions. They will also get you whatever you need to make your stay enjoyable. We recommend it highly after our 4 day stay in June 2024. "
