Beautiful Cabin Experience
My wife and I and a few Pilot friends from the airline(s) found this to be a nice relaxing experience after a day at the EAA Airshow, each night. It’s just an hour and 15 minutes from Oshkosh. Nice place to reunite our friendships, and the facility was close bar Manitowoc for the supplies we needed for the week, which mainly consisted of Brats, local corn, and Spotted Cow Beer. We had a blast Hope to be back.

What a wonderful log cabin to just get away from the rigors of daily life. The cabin is relatively secluded, yet easily accessible to some of the best attractions eastern Wisconsin has to offer. We enjoyed the calm mornings and quiet evenings surrounded by only the sounds of nature. Lots of birds entertained us during our visit. Simply a lovely place for a weekend getaway!

It was such an amazing place. The cabin was beautiful, the area was beautiful, it all went beyond expectations. Even in the heat, the cabin stayed decent. Will definitely be coming back again!

We rented this property last year and will probably rent again next year for the 3rd year in a row. The only complaint is that the basement was a little musty and could be refreshed

Getaway cabin
The stargazing was impressive! There are no close neighbors to intrude and the privacy was wonderful. There is a huge amount of space and I was worried about echos with all the wood but it is quiet and cozy. There is no air conditioning but the cabin stayed cool enough with the fans. The caretaker was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We will book this place again!

Stunning cabin perfect for a family trip!
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful log cabin. Despite the cool, wet weather while we were there we were able to enjoy the outdoor space a bit between showers. The rooms were spacious, furniture comfy and the kitchen had cookware and utinsels for anything you’d want to cook. Definitely check out nearby Pine River Dairy for some good cheese! As long as you’re ok with being a good drive from town and area attractions, it’s a great place to stay.

Beautiful cabin, plenty of space. Enjoyed peaceful surroundings and nature. Wish the second bedroom was on the main floor not in the basement as it was very cold down there.

I enjoyed the stay
I enjoyed the stay , being there by myself let me appreciate the beauty of the cabin itself. It is a beautiful cabin. Well done Mike. Prior visits were packed with people which didn't give me the time to just enjoy the cabin. The check in by Wayne was brief with limit explanation of the cabin. I did ask for the full check in but I think Wayne might have shorten it. I suggest you have a written check in checklist that Wayne goes over with the guest to assure there understand the unique qualities of the cabin. You might want to have the guest sign it, just in case something happens you can lay the blame in the right place. Issues: We have discussed many of these before but these are the issues I noticed. 1. The TV should be updated. It is 15 year old technology. Using the two remotes is cumbersome., picture quality is poor, and the selection of channels is limited. Most people now have cable and are use to a much better viewing experience. 2. Providing a good selection of quality movies and books would help overcome the limited TV coverage. You can often find them at Goodwill and garage sales rela;tively cheap. 3. I never found the switch for the garage disposal a sign located in the spot where the disposal is normally located would be helpful. 4. The instruction for the fireplace do not ask that the fireplace doors remain closed except for starting and stoking the fire. People may be tempted to burn the fire with the doors open which is a major fire hazard. 5. One of the front porch lights was out 6. The outlet for the refrigerator was not working and Wayne had run an extention cord along the back of the counter. It created no problems for me. That is about it. I did enjoy the stay but I was there a week to early. Pretty much missed the fall colors. Thanks again for letting me stay. I will likely use it again if I can get family to join me. I had hoped that it would worked this stay but I ended up there alone. Tony

Great property located close to many attractions.
The cabin was clean and well stocked with linens, towels and pillows. The rooms are spacious and the property has lots of little trails you can walk on to explore and experience the beauty. The owners/managers have a really helpful binder filled with great info on various features of the cabin and surrounding areas. I had only 2 minor complaints. The first is that the downstairs smelled pretty bad. And it was strong. My husband said it was a strong musty smell but it almost smelled sort of like a chemical to me. I would suggest airing it out before new guests arrive or sleep down there. My other minor complaint is the amount of flies in the cabin. I'm talking hundreds. The buzzing alone was creepy but we also found them dead on the beds and one even under my pillow. This would occur every day. Not just something we found upon arrival. Otherwise, we had a peaceful and relaxing stay. With no Wi-Fi or television and spotty cell service it was definitely a vacation from it all!

This cabin is gorgeous and was built with amazing craftsmanship!! Roomy for all and close enough to town...about a 20 minute drive to many places. If we return to the area, we would definitely consider staying here again!

Rustic, quite, relaxing.
The building and property are beautiful. We had a lot of fun cooking and visiting with family. The pizza from the outdoor oven was fantastic!
