The Chapel Garden House or Casa de la Capilla is a beautiful, spacious country house that forms part of the 17th Century Palacio de Hualle estate. This three bedroom house has been restored to conserve its essential original stone walls and wooden beams, while allowing in new light and space. The Chapel House is a completely independant house with its own entrances and garden area.
On the ground floor is a double height living room and dining room with a chimney and a half bathroom. The living room opens up to the garden, adjacent to the Palacio chapel. There is a large , well equipped kitchen which opens to the Palacio main entrance patio, where there is also an open air dining area, with views of the green fields and grazing horses.
Up one flight of stairs there are two spacious double bedrooms, a full bathroom and a glassed-in sun room-balcony which overlooks the Palacio main façade and , beyond, the pastures and mountains. On the third floor is the large, main double bedroom, with a third bed for another person, with its own bathroom.
The house is furnished with comfortable sofas and local antiques. The house has central heating and is fully equipped with washer, dryer, dishwasher, towels and linens.
The Chapel House is a fifteen minute drive to the beaches Oyambre and Gerra, where there is great surfing. It is also a fifteen minute drive to the village Comillas or Santillana del Mar. Santander, the capitol city of Cantabria, has an international airport and is 42 kms away, about a 30 minute drive on modern highway.
There is a well stocked local supermarket within walking distance, as well as restaurants and cafes.
