"We (4 adult and 5 kids ages 8-12) had an amazing week here. The house is lovely with plenty of room for us all and the swimming pool is amazing. Best of all is the incredible view from the balcony where we ate everyday. The area is stunning and only 5 mins drive to the beach at Saint Martin. There is loads to do including lots of places within 15 minute drive. We would highly recommend"

"positiv: host is very kind view is exceptionnel (straight view of the mont ventoux) no direct neighbour quiet neighbourhood great pool 11m long House outside looks like on the pictures. negativ: more than 5min walk to get to the center of Vaison-la-Romaine beds are not very comfortable ( mattress maybe too old?) air conditioning is only one unit! Not enough to keep the temperature pleasant. Above all when there are 40+ degrees…even at 30+ the air conditioning had some problems to cool down....

"A fantastic property!! The house was well equipped, well presented and very clean. The property felt very private with it’s own excellent pool and driveway. Phillipe, the owner, lives behind the house and we thought he was brilliant! Helpful, friendly, informative but in no way intrusive. The house is perfectly situated. We visited Avignon, Nîmes, the Ardèche and the beaches of the south coast which were an hour and a half away. There is excellent river swimming on the doorstep and the cascades...

"The property had a very modern style and was well suited to a family that wanted a good sized house with room for both inside and outside living. The pool was excellent in terms of size and provided a welcomed break from the sunny days outside. The air conditioning and blinds provided a cool temperature in the house and also a level of security. Set in a location close to the main roadways and near to local shops and amenities I would thoroughly recommend a stay at the property for exploring...

Grande piscine pour nous rafraîchir qui a fait le bonheur de tous. Village très proche et supérette locale bien pratique. Qu’ajouter ? "The property was clean and tidy, with a lovely outdoor terrace. The pool was a welcome relief from the scorching temperatures, and after a hot day sightseeing it was lovely to take a refreshing dip. The gite is located an easy 10 minute amble into Vaison - a bustling market town with all the facilities one could need. There are some quirks - there is only one loo, which is downstairs whilst the shower room is upstairs. There is also no wash hand basin in the loo. Also, the VRBO listing states...

"Absolutely loved this place. Completely isolated, so peaceful and quiet. Loved the large jacuzzi/pool, ideal for cooling down from the summer heat. Great location with fabulous views. Owner responded in good time with any teething problems, ie we had a power issue, that was easily and quickly resolved. Would love to stay there again."

"We loved our stay at Fred's house. Fred is great with communication. He responds really quickly to my texts. His house is located at the base of the medieval village, about 3 minutes from the Roman bridge. It takes no time to get anywhere in Vaison from this house. My husband and I took trips to different places every day, but loved coming back to the house, sitting on the little balcony and watch all the action on the street. I loved the view as well."

"1. No towels or bedding provided and when contacted host they told us to go out to buy our own. 2. no air conditioning which was in the description 3. Pool was dirty and not cleaned by the hosts despite being there for 14 days 4.garden chairs so old likely to break at any time. Host did not respond to any of our comments/complaints. Escalated through VRBO and still no attempt by host to rectify in terms of apology or partial refund. Very expensive for what it it. Needs care and upgrading."

"We had a lovely holiday in Vaison exploring the Roman remains and the surrounding area, and sampling the excellent local wine. The property itself is very pleasant with a private garden and barbecue area and access to a shared swimming pool (which does get quite busy at times but is very well maintained). It is a gated close about 20 minutes walk from the town centre in a very quiet part of town. The host, Cendrine, is really friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Vaison has a lot to offer in...

"Lovely house, with all the comforts you may require. Plenty of room for us to spread out as the house is on two floors and there is a separate annex. The terrace is perfect, with lots of shade in different areas to rest in the afternoon. Isabel was very helpful with directions and nothing was too much trouble. A very enjoyable stay."

Waking up to the blissful sound of birds, and inhaling lavender in full bloom across the road, the chateau was the perfect escape from our busy life in Sydney, Australia. "We loved the property and a wonderful week There was plenty of space for 9 of us. We loved dinners outside and lounging around the beautiful pool. The village is small but it’s great to be able to enjoy a meal within a few minutes walk. There is a good size supermarket 5 minutes drive away.
