"We adored our stay here! The rooms were outstanding: clean, charming, gorgeous views. We participated in the wine tour & dinner the night we stayed and highly recommend it. Everything exceeded our expectations. However nothing quite beat the breakfast. Their version of continental breakfast was fresh baked pastries and cakes, fruit from the grounds, fresh juices, home cooked eggs and sausages - it was like being at a friends home for brunch. No hotel breakfast will ever compare!! I would absolutely stay here again if ever I’m in Tuscany again!"

"I traveled with a group of 10 close friends for a 2 week trek across Italy. The Castello di Volognano was the highlight of our trip and my only regret is that we didnt stay here longer. The castle is on the top of one of many rolling hills of Tuscany and the views could not be better. The owner, Patrizia, was patient and accommodating and was extremely helpful when booking our stay despite me being difficult and changing the dates multiple times. The property manager Iacopo was outstanding and unbelievably helpful. His wine tour was wonderful and had a more homey, friendly feel than other commercial wineries that we had toured before. He also helped arrange a private dinner cooked by a personal chef and it was delicious. A surprise bonus that I didnt see mentioned in the listing was a fleet of 20 turtles that happily live in the castle garden. The only thing missing was a castle cat (or three)! We would not hesitate to come back to Volognano. If you are looking for a once in a lifetime, perfect vacation in a castle, stop looking and book this now!"
