"Beautiful castle in the countryside accessible by public transportation. The place is in walking distance to a village meat market and a bakery. We got food and wine from the village and had a lovely picnic in the garden. Overall a very special experience and we absolutely enjoyed the tranquility and natural beauty of this 16th century chateau. The room is spacious and clean and there’s a fan. Note that as usual window screen is not a thing in France, so come prepared with mosquito spray. "

"Please stay at this wonderful chambre d’hote. Roxi is the perfect host and you can really tell that she has put her heart and soul into this lovely house. The bedroom we had was amazing and had everything you need including a huge jacuzzi!!! Perfect place to enjoy the town of Verteuil sur Charente. Fresh eggs included in great breakfast. "La réservation était faite pour quatre jours sur votre site, quand nous sommes arrivés on nous a gentiment dit que rien était réservé pour nous parce que notre hôte ne regarde pas les mails Abritel, elle a été désagréable, nous a envoyé paître. Elle n’a présenté aucune excuse et ne nous a pas proposé de solution et a en plus souffler parce que l’on ralait. A priori nous ne sommes pas les premiers à avoir cette expérience avec cette hôtesse qui change le nom de son gîte pour annuler les mauvaises...

De schoonmaal liet erg te wensen over: afwasmachine was niet uitgeruims; de wasmachine zat nog vol met nat wasgoed - bizar. Als het regende lekte het dak, zodat de badkamervloer nat werd.
