Cute Condo with Pretty Views
Overall the condo worked for our stay, but there are some things that should be noted in the listing. In addition to the outside stairs shown in one picture, the parking space is down a steep hill and then the unit itself is up a VERY steep flight of stairs. This was a bit hard to navigate with our gear (there for a lacrosse tournament) and as a recent chemotherapy patient it was tough. Also, while there is laundry, it should be noted that it's shared, in a boiler room style basement and coin operated. I also had to call Vacasa to find out where it was. Again down the steep stairs of the unit, outdoor steps, steep hill & basement stairs. Overall the unit was clean, but there was some mold in the bathroom. Lastly, the smoke alarm started going off (needing battery) on our second to last night, so our son had to sleep on the couch. Again, we made it all work, but I wouldn't stay again.

Good value stay, near bus stop.
Property was fine and a great value for east vail. Complex is dated but this unit is redone on the interior and was clean and comfortable. Description is accurate. Had a problem in communications in that we had a small issue with the door lock while I was on the mountain and no one could or would directly talk to my wife who was at the unit. So no real person that can quickly and accurately address issues. BTW, the issue with the lock was that the manual latch wasn’t engaged, so the electric part would not lock. Anyone with familiarity with the actual mechanism would have been able to tell her in ten seconds to turn the latch and press the away button. The fact that she tried to fix it for two hours and no one would call or text her directly, causing her to miss a day of skiing, was very frustrating for both of us. Just a part of dealing with corporate management…on our rentals, the guests can call us directly and often do for silly things. Overall, good stay.

Cheap and uncomfortable
It was the cheapest property we could find in Vail. Extremely uncomfortable beds. Minimum amenities. Shower curtain kept falling down. Fire place didn’t actually work. Adult diapers left in drawers. Overall, it is a cheap roof over your head in a great location.

Nice variety of kitchen equipment, dishes, food staples. Vacuum cleaner inside the unit. Wasn't sure which uses of TV I would be charged extra for. No radio, or I couldn't find one. Interior of unit felt dark to me. No washcloths in the bathroom. No grab bars in shower. Layout of the unit felt awkward to me. "Crossroads" in center with rooms going out in all four directions. I was one person; felt like you would run into other people if there were more than one person. Cobwebs at the foot of the stairs, just inside the front door.

We we’re less than satisfied since the TV cable service wasn’t working and the management company turned the heat off in our unit during our stay and we were in the Rockies!

Minimum Standard
The property as clean and visually appealing. However, there were some issues... 1) When a property indicates it has "WiFi" I assume it high-ish speed. The internet service at this property as at most 1Mbps and sometimes as low as .34Mbps (checked with speedtest). This made it impossible to stream entertainment at night and difficult to update a play list for riding the next day. I called the property manager - he said he'd call the owner to see about upgrading the service. It never improved. 2) Given we couldn't stream movies, we turned to the TV, but it's DirectTV and many of the movie channels report Signal Loss even though we had clear weather - sure enough, the satellite dish is directly behind a tree, blocking the signal. 3) The pillows were more like a piece of fabric in a pillow case. I finally got some head support by bunching it up. I looked for additional pillows, found a couple, but no pillow cases and none of them were a "firm" option. 4) The lighting was very dim throughout the unit, except in the "hall" between the two bedrooms and the bathroom. The stove light (in the microwave) was not functioning. 5) There was only one soap dispenser in the condo; only in the bathroom, no soap at the kitchen sink. So when someone was in the bathroom while someone else was cooking, we had to wait for the bathroom to be available to clean our hands.

Good but has flaws
The property is fine. There was some good and some not-so-good. I probably wouldn't book again; spending a bit more is probably worth the return. The good: relative price, clean, warm/not drafty, kitchen was well-stocked, beds were comfortable, shower had good water pressure. Not so good: The walls are paper thin so it was difficult to sleep due to noise from neighbors. The living room/kitchen is very awkward and not very comfortable: the TV is in a strange location. There's a chair/ottoman weirdly blocking the door to the balcony. The kitchen table would need to be pulled from the wall to seat 4, but there really isn't space to do that. The apartment is at the top of a hill, so although only a 5 min walk to the bus-stop, it can be difficult for sea-level-er and slippery going down in ski gear.

Great location
Overall this was a great place to stay for our visit to Vail. The location was hard to beat for the cost with Vail village and lifts only a short bus ride away. A few things that would have helped to know: the condo is located on the top of a hill, on a road on a small hill and on the second floor. This was not the end of the world but the climb from the bus stop was a pain after a hard day of skiing and standing on the bus in ski boots. The condo is nice and clean but is not huge. Accommodated our small group well but could not handle more people. Best for a small family. Condo had everything we needed including pots and pans for cooking. Would stay again for the location and value.

Great apartment. Best value for money.
Perfect for a couple or parents w young children. All clean and newly renovated. Free bus to mountain is easy to use. Only negative - steep snow covered driveway. Luckily parking is below that segment of driveway.

Hot, and too unsafe for my liking
Overall the unit was a disappointment. The bathroom and kitchen were nice and outfitted well but I was very frustrated and angry that the windows in the two bedrooms do not open! It was crazy hot when we got there (they had ran the self cleaning oven during the day) and there is not even close to enough cross breeze from the tiny bathroom window and living room slider. It was tough to sleep In the warm bedrooms. In addition to no cool air, the inoperable windows felt unsafe in case of emergency or fire. There was also no smoke detector in the condo (looks like they took it off the wall of the kitchen) there is also an outlet cover missing behind the bed in the master. The unit was clean and conveniently located but I wouldn’t stay here again because of the windows not opening, and fire/safety hazards.

Wonderful place to stay.
This place was great, very near Vail, but without the traffic and hassle. High speed internet was good, tv was good and a nice balcony with a great view. Would recommend this VRBO to anyone that is looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay very close to Vail. L

Great location for fun vacation
Only a 5-10mins drive to Lionshead village, very convenient to drive or take the shuttle without having to pay the high $$ of staying in the village. Property has everything needed for a great vacation, uphill walk from car and 2nd floor stairs makes a good workout to end a full day of skiing. Would be perfect to have washer/dryer in condo and access to pool or hot tub to relax after skiing. But overall great unit!!

Convenient East Vail Condo
I've been vacationing in Vail for 30 years, mainly in East Vail, and enjoy the area very much. The den and kitchen area were nice and the fireplace was a plus. Beds and pillows were not very comfortable and the toilet seat was dirty upon arrival. Other than that, the staff and instructions were very clear and helpful.
