Historic house overlooking the ancient courtyard of Villa Buonamici. It was built in the 13th century as a fortification, being part of the towers to protect the valley and still retains the proud aspect of the tower. In the Renaissance it was transformed into a comfortable residence by the noble Buonamici family, friend of Galileo Galilei, who stayed here as a guest in the 17th century. At the entrance of the house, on the stone portal, the coat of arms of the noble family is carved. The house is located in the ancient village of Savignano set on the slopes of the Protected Area of the Monti della Calvana. It is located exactly on the border between the woods and fields of olive trees that descend to the valley floor, just above the slow-flowing stream and crosses the village until it reaches the small Romanesque church. It is arranged on one floor for a total of 200 square meters. It has been expertly restored and furnished with pieces from the ancient Tuscan tradition. It retains a particular charm, still having the ancient plaster and original terracotta tiles. On the ceiling of the main hall you can admire the typical Tuscan bricks dated A. D. 1658.
It has a private portion of the courtyard facing the house equipped with table, chairs and barbecue for outdoor meals, shared use of the pool and garden.
