It was very nice old buildings, a little bit cold! But overall it was good! But dont go shopping on a sunday becuase almost everything is closed! The food in the restaurant was amazing! Top notch!

Cool old rooms in a historic location
Wonderful historic location with lots to explore and see. A bit inconvenient that you are not housed near the reception, but a 7 minute walk away. At least we could just leave the key when we checked out, so we didn't have to return to the reception. Our rooms were in an old villa with amazing interior that felt 200 years old - very cool.

Beautiful, historic, but with a few misses.
Our trip was probably not well matched to this hotel (which isn't their fault at all!). We checked in close to 9pm at the hotel restaurant as the front desk was closed. We missed out on some of the fine attractions of the hotel like the expansive sitting rooms in the main lodging building. Room was exactly as pictured. Plenty of space, nice lake view (the next morning when we got up), excellent breakfast buffet. The luxury beds were too soft for my liking. I get that they're meant to offer gentle conforming support, but I felt like more than one night might have not gone well for my back. Floors are very old wood, so they're noisy. More nice carpets like what was under the desk, over where we put our feet down at night would be a big improvement. We woke each other up trying to tiptoe to the bathroom in the night. Creak-creak!
Our room was on the top floor of this historic building. Note that check in happens about 50 meters down the way.
Expansive shared living room on the ground floor of the guestroom wing. Coffee, tea & cookies are available 24/7 here.

Some of the buildings are wonderful, but management is awful. You’ll have to run up to a quarter to get to your room since the hotel buildings are scattered around the whole town. You have one key and you need it even to enter your building, difficult if you are two persons. Ten minutes walk for breakfast. Ten more to go to the gym, not open though, go to reception, oh you need a code, another five minutes walk. Ugly rooms. No phone on the rooms, if you want to get a feel for the absurdity of living here, call their number. You must wait five minutes more just to get someone answering. And the dinner… 350 kronor for a single course and it’s like an appetizer. What a shame.

Fin liten stad
Vi bodde i en byggnad som ligger 7min promenad från frukost, restaurang och reception. När det är snöstorm så känns det lite avsides. I den byggnaden som vi bodde i, finns inget annat än rummen. På sommaren är det säkert inga problem att ta promenaden, bara man har i åtanke att det blir mycket fram och tillbaka om du ska hämta något på rummet t ex. Munkklostret ligger närmast all service.

Mysigt boende mitt i Vadstena
Trevligt hotell med rum utspridda på olika platser i Vadstena. Litet centrum så inga problem att gå. Vi bodde i lilla slottsvillan i ett rum som andades atmosfär från svunna tider, mycket trevligt. Helt ok Wi-fi , fantastiskt fin frukost med supertrevlig personal. Frukosten serveras i en annan del av hotellet men inte mer än knappt 100 meters promenad från rummet. Sköna sängar, jacuzzi i badrummet istället för duschkabin, skönt att krypa ner i ett varmt bad men för oss hade det varit bättre med en riktig dusch. Fri parkering precis utanför rummen, incheckning var snabbt avklarad och utcheckningen bestod av att lämna nyckeln i hotelldörren. Som helhet ett perfekt ställe att bo på för att uppleva Vadstena.

Mycket nöjda
Fint hotell med annorlunda stil. Vi var mycket mycket nöjda med allt. Dock lite tråkigt att dubbelsängen var två sängar med en ganska stor glipa emellan. Äggröran var lite sådär men annars var frukosten väldigt bra.
