"Staying at Madison’s Mountain Retreat was the perfect getaway and experience for my family. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the grounds. Anne’s warm welcome and knowledge about the animals was excellent and we all enjoyed feeding the Alpacas, Llamas & Goats. The indoor pool was great for a quick swim & we felt nice and cosy in the rustic cabin accommodation which had a lovely view of the alpacas and farm. We will definitely be back. "

"The cabins were lovely, they provide everything you need to make your own meals which is a big plus. The area is nice and central but feels isolated. It’s 10 mins away from shopping centres and only a short drive to the blue mountains. Highly recommend."

"We loved this rustic, hidden gem!! A super spot for a family getaway with lots of nature time, fresh air and peace. Fiona and Mike were super hosts, extremely helpful, kind and responsive! "The property is on very tranquil and restful bushlands. Great place to unwind and unplug. There is also a creek with opportunities to go canoeing courtesy of the hosts. It does require a 4WD to get down there or reasonably fit bodies as it's a steep walk down and steeper back or feels like it !! Pack your bags, your favourite book, snacks, drinks and kick back ! "

"No mention that there would be no TV provided so didn't bring alternative entertainment. Little or no phone signal and power failure due to storm. Lots of mossies. Good place to escape the world but too remote for us. Hosts were lovely."

"Not as expected. Nothing was clean and the entire place and everything in it needs serious cleaning. I picked up a glass and it was grimy and sticky. The kitchen had a musty smell. I opened the 'guest guide' and bits of cheese fell out. We expected to be able to use the wood burning stove as it was very cold and were told it wasn't available for use. "It's a beautiful country getaway of green grasses, farm field, small towns and running horses, where breathing in the air and walking on the ground brings balance to the soul, limbs and mind. And the owner is so kind. (I don't know what the limit is but there's room for 11.) "We stayed at Ferngrove last weekend using the cottage as part of our accommodation for a wedding weekend at Chapel Hill. The cottage was beautifully appointed and it gave us such a wonderful Blue Mountains experience with Fire going whilst relaxing over dinner and drinks.
