"We arrived to breathtaking views of Lake Arenal and the volcano. Over the next couple of days we savored delicious varied breakfasts and a German cuisine inspired dinner that was prepared and customized to accommodate our dietary restrictions. All of us enjoyed visiting the hot tub daily. The library was well utilized during our stay. So many genres of books for our varied interests! We strolled through the gardens, admiring the many tropical plants and flowers and even saw toucans both mornings. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. This is an amazing, large yet cozy property with hosts that make us feel that this is our home away from home! We can’t wait to return!"

"We enjoyed our first visit to the Villa (and to Costa Rica) very much! All of the words used to describe this setting are so true--Private, paradise, beautiful tropical gardens...it is all of this and more! It truly was an escape from our hectic lives. It was so nice to just relax on the property some days and easy to drive to an excursion away from the Villa when we wanted. Horseback riding with Alex just up the road is awesome--we rode up the mountain side with incredible views. Alex's restaurant is very good also and it is so close--don't pass up his hand made cheese! The Villa is very well equipped with everything needed to enjoy meals there--the panini maker was great to have and dining on the patio during sunset was truly memorable! We definitely look forward to staying here again."

"Beautiful property- stayed 3 nights at a dome tent with my 7 year old- it was very modern and well equipped. Staff are great and we enjoyed the zip lining and horseback rides while at the ranch. All were extremely convenient to book during our stay- available on an hours notice. Food was excellent and traditional and the ladies in the kitchen working at the ranch were amazing. If you are looking to do a horse back ride and zip line in Costa Rica I would highly recommend staying night or so and doing the activities while enjoying the property. It’s a better day than booking a tour from the coast if you have a car IMO, simply because you have more time to enjoy nature and generally more private zip lining and horseback riding so you could accomplish more. Our stay was mid March 2025. Activity prices were reasonable as was the stay. "
