"A lovely, clean and modern yet traditional hotel. Customer service is excellent, had two small queries once we arrived however these were fixed immediately. Beds were super comfy, plenty of space in the rooms and we were able to request a twin instead of a double. All but a few hairs the room matched the rest of the hotel in its cleanliness. breakfast was amazing and very reasonably priced. location wise it was great, there was a car park although seemed very limited spaces even for winter. Overall was a lovely stay and sad to leave. Was planning to return to skye in summer and go camping, however we will likely be staying here again! "

"The property was very clean, and the hosts provided us with plenty of cookware to make meals plus an extensive book on local sightseeing, walks, and places to eat! Modern interior, very warm and cosy, and the bathroom/shower was very comfortable (no problems with hot water!). Lively views from the large windows and curtains to cover up the windows at night. Waking up to views of the hills was really special. Thanks very much!"

"This was the best little hotel we stayed in while traveling through Scotland. I was skeptical based on reviews. But it was an efficient hotel. No frills, not fancy, older hotel. Could it use a renovation? Yes. Did it bother us? No!! It was clean. Restaurant was traditional. The staff was super sweet and treated us like family. Very understanding when the Texan had no clue how to turn on a radiator! 😂. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The experience was worth more than fancy furnishings and glitz. We highly recommend!"

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for new year's. Self check-in and out was very simple. The staff were really lovely, helpful and down for a chat. The view from our window was magnificent, overlooking the bay. The perfect home base for our explorations on Isle of Skye. The only thing that would improve the experience would be a mini fridge to keep groceries and milk fresh. Although mini fridges seem to be more common in Australian accommodation, as I haven't had one anywhere we have stayed in the UK. "

"We absolutely loved our stay. Wonderful place and people. The staff were amazing; particularly John and John, who were thoughtful and took care of us the entire time. Rooms were kept very nicely and having the option to do laundry was an added bonus. Skye is a gorgeous place and staying at this hotel only made our experience better. Terrific restaurant, which we spent 2 dinners 3 breakfast’s at. Would highly recommend and hope to be back soon"

"Location is excellent but need to look for parking as limited. Room was really nicely decorated which made it feel really homely. Restaurant serves excellent food and it’s close to their restaurant and services. Portree itself it’s absolutely beautiful and I could not recommend it enough. "
