"Really friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. The bar area was very relaxing. Great big comfy sofas. The room was pleasant. Tiny shower room. Comfortable bed. The pillows were really firm and i couldnt work out which were meant to be the soft option. The decor was ok in the room. Could do with a freshen up. It was clean. The pool was really nice. "Great location for exploring the city centre with easy access by frequent buses that go into the city. Bus stop is only 2/3 minutes walk from the hotel. Really good sleep as it's quiet and comfortable. Parking at the hotel is easy. "

"Hotel was clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed the use of the swimming pool. Our bedroom and bathroom were both very big. Only things that let it down slightly was the walls in the bedroom were very badly chipped on the corners. But otherwise very happy with our stay. "

"The check in and welcome was the best we've ever experienced anywhere! It was such a massive surprise and so refreshing. We travelled with a dog and were instantly put at ease and made to feel welcome and like returning guests. We cannot praise this lovely lady enough! "Great location in the heart of the town centre, warm friendly, professional and efficient welcome. There are pleasant communal areas, yet there is no bar or restaurant; the only food and drink available is from vending machines. The rooms are very compact, yet are spotlessly clean, well maintained and a pleasant place to be, however, there is no space for a chair or desk. I booked a room with a window, yet, my room had only a window with obscured glass so I might as well had reserved a room...

"Convenient location, nicely decorated room, excellent unexpected touches ( fruit juicees & chocolate) . Lacking a little maintenance otherwise a pleasant place to be. My room overloaded the mail sorting office which is brightly lit at night so black out curtains would have been nice. Well heated ( adjustable) . The vegan/ vegetarian restaurant downstairs was very nice with lots of different dishes to try a new experience. Worth returning just to dine here. "

"Excellent as always. This has been my go to hotel when travelling to the area for the past 15 years. The only criticism is that breakfast is maybe lacking a little. The continental choice should have fresh croissants and a slightly better all round selection. Apart from that minor criticism I would definitely recommend the Barnham Broom"
