Enjoy this peaceful sanctuary as a work from home or staycation. This private, 1 bedroom suite with use of cedar wood throughout is perfect for two adults but can sleep 4 ($20/person/night for third and fourth person/child).
Ground floor of house with your own separate entrance and parking spot. Includes small kitchen, separate bath, pull out queen day bed & adjoining bedroom with queen bed. BBQ, cedar sun deck, your own private Hot Tub & Wood Sauna & outdoor shower. Minutes walk from the Wild Pacific Trail and stunning beaches! 30 min drive from Tofino. Dog friendly for up to two small dogs or 1 medium size dog but pls request before booking ($25/visit). Hike, surf and swim the trails and beaches, golf and come back to a hot tub and sauna! The place is absolutely unbelievable.We were a family of 4(2 adult boys) and were very comfortable.Inside is very charming and provides all amenities you need.The outside is well set up.The sauna and jacuzzi tub is very nice to come home to after your day of exploring. The only downfall is that we were not there long enough.We will be back for sure and this GEM is highly recommended.

Very private and peaceful . I could feel the tranquility with the forest surroundings, bird chirping and wind chimes..the out door lighting was a night touch as well. Very cozy . I would come back again.

Amazing stay in great location
We absolutely loved our stay, the location was perfectly close to everything we wanted to see but so quiet and peaceful, it felt like being at an exclusive spa while we were staying. We were traveling as a family of three with our four year old and he loved having his own space with the day bed in the living room and we enjoyed having our own space to enjoy inside or outside once he was asleep. Can’t recommend this spot enough and would go back anytime we’re in the area!

Excellent retreat in the heart of Uclulet!
Penny and Trevor's place was beautiful and exactly as described - we had an excellent time lounging in the hot tub, and it was conveniently located by local restaurants and to hike the Wild Pacific Trail. Would gladly stay again!

Lovely stay in the perfect town
The forest retreat was minutes walk to the shops and restaurants in Ucluelet, and to Little Beach. We loved the hot tub and sauna, plus the decks were all well furnished and landscaped. The welcome basket and treats for our dog were appreciated!

The property was an absolute delight, it had everything we needed, and was super super relaxing. The hot tub and sauna are such a treat. The property itself is just a little oasis and perfect for a quiet, relaxing few days. The owners live upstairs and we’re super nice, respectful and helpful. I would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful little oasis.

Beautiful Uke
Trevor and Penny are the consummate hosts - they thought of everything to make our stay unforgettable. The amenities (bedroom, seating area, bathroom) wonderful. The hot tub and sauna amazing, including several outdoor seating areas. We were able to charge up our EV on arrival and wished that we’d brought our dog to enjoy all of the treats and thoughtful gestures left to our disposal.

Little oasis
What a great little gem, my first reaction when entering through the gate into the courtyard was to smile. The secluded outdoor space, complete with a charming hot tub and sauna, was impeccably maintained. Inside was equally inviting and spotless. Accommodating four of us - mom, dad, and two teenagers - was a breeze. The pullout bed took up a bit of space once extended but as that was only at bedtime, it was a non-issue for us. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, with thoughtful touches such as a welcoming basket of treats and a cheerful birthday banner for our son. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.

It's Truly a Forest Retreat
This place truly lives up to its name as a forest retreat! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The space is equipped with every amenity one could wish for, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We particularly loved the vibe of the property, and its proximity to the charming town of Ucluelet was a bonus. The nature hike paths nearby are a must-visit, showcasing the area's breathtaking beauty. And to top it all off, the hosts were exceptional - a sweet message and snack basket greeted us, plus they were available to answer questions to ensure our stay was perfect. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a peaceful getaway amidst nature!

Perfect forest getaway with hot tub and sauna
This gorgeous suite set into a forested hillside is the perfect West Coast retreat. The hosts (who live upstairs) are wonderful, the space is clean and inviting and surrounded by lush garden and trees. We LOVED the sauna (they set it up for you) and hot tub. You can breakfast on the patio, swim/surf and rinse off all your gear outside, then get cozy and warm inside. And all just minutes walk/drive from Ucluelet, the famous lighthouse and Wild Pacific Trail. Amazing. Would recommend to anyone. Just a note - they do explain this but the living room day bed fits one person only. And note that the driveway is steep gravel.

On the positive side, the property is clean and very quiet, and the hot tub is great. As a senior with less-than-youthful mobility, I found the steep driveway, uneven stairs, and rickety handrail quite unnerving. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, and there was only one semi-comfortable chair to sit in. Not a good place for someone with an aching body to relax with a good book. If I were young and painfree, I'd most likely stay here again, but as a senior, I won't.

This would have been much better in the summer. Found the accommodations tight and very dated. Having said that, it was clean and the hosts were very nice. Even left a nice little arrival basket for my wife as it was her birthday. It was just the wrong time of the year to rent this suite. Hot tub was nice but the roof dripped heavily on us when we were in it. Local stores and restaurants were reduced because of the time of year. If you are going to Uclulet in the summer and want decent accommodation at what is now considered a reasonable price we would recommend this. Mike and Jenny

A great retreat
This was a lovely spot to stay with perfect outdoor spaces, a hot tub and sauna and lots of greenery. It feels hidden in the woods. I went with my spouse and our young adult son. It is really better suited for a couple on a romantic getaway. We will come back for that! With three of us and a dog it was comfortable but a bit crowded. We had a mix up with VRBO not sending the code to the lockbox in their welcome email and when I went to the VRBO app to try to find it there the buttons in the app didn’t work. Possibly user error. It turns out the code had been sent to us two months prior in the manual for the place, but we didn’t know that at the time. Be warned and check your confirmation email for the manual PDF if you get stuck without the code. It took a bit to reach the owners.

Tranquility! Such a relaxing and lovely place!
We adored staying at the Forest Sweet Retreat... it was honestly hard to leave! Penny and Trevor made everything so easy for us... check-in was easy and we felt so welcomed with the thoughtful touches. The suite was comfortable, beautifully decorated and had everything that we could possibly need. We traveled as a family of 4 with two young children and the sleeping set-up worked great for us... put the kiddos to sleep in the bedroom and then transfer them out to the pull-out day bed when we were ready for bed (after some relaxing time in the hot tub). The hot tub was the perfect place for our family to warm up after a hike, boat or swimming in the ocean... my kids hopped in there the second we returned from our outings. Though we never used the wood-fired sauna, I can imagine how heavenly it would be on a cool day. We had one rainy day but there was lots of covered outdoor space so it was easy to stay dry and not feel like we were on top of each other. The suite had a wonderful location... we were able to walk out to the local beaches, restaurants and a playground easily. Love the Ukee vibe and all the stunning natural beauty in the area. It was a perfect family getaway. Our kids also loved looking for the fairies hidden in the rocks in front of the house and were quite enchanted that the fairies moved and had flower-petal hats every day... a little bit of west-coast magic! (Thank you P and T!) We look forward to returning to this lovely property.

Cozy little spot in a beautiful village
Stayed for 3 nights, first time to Ucluelet. The accommodation was very nice. Bed was a bit small and the quarters are tight but well laid out and appointed. Outdoor area was lovely. Hot tub was really hot and such a treat. Hosts were super.

Perfect Getaway
From the initial booking, ongoing communication, and a thorough and clear welcome package, this little retreat was the perfect getaway! Quiet and private, clean and well stocked with a bunch of little goodies! Hot tub was clean and nice to relax in after being chilly all day in the ocean and on the trails. Would recommend this location for couples or small family, and would definitely stay here again!
