Amazing Getaway
Needed a break from a very hectic schedule, this was perfect. A little gem hidden away from everything, just peace and quiet. A lovely space, perfect for what we were looking for, a well equipped kitchen, so home cooked meals for the 4 nights we stayed and curled up on the well cushioned sofa's watching DVD's. If you are looking for somewhere to to decompress and get away from the world, this is the place, highly recommend. Look forward to going back soon.

L
Lovely high spec cottage lovely location especially for dog owners with a safe enclosed field for them only negatives are the description of local amenities which says shop and restaurants within 1/2 mile this is not the case the pub is within 1/2 mile but any shop or restaurants are at least 10/15 minutes by car there are no shops at all within walking distance of the cottage also we went in October and found the cut through from blackboys pub to the cottage at night in total darkness which was both dangerous and scary even though there was lights all along the 10 minute walk but for some reason was not on Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Excellent location for holidaying with dogs, it would be perfect in summer when you can use the outside area. A little small but didn't bother us as we were out all day. Very quiet & peaceful, perfect having the use of the field on the doorstep for walking the dogs. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely little cottage, great place to stay. Would stay here again , bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch . Would have liked a water filter jug as water tasted a little bit strange , but soon sorted this , I just used bottled water .

The Cowstall is located in a rural location with lovely views from the living room.
The Cowstall is located in a rural location with lovely views from the living room. It is a good size property for couples with small dogs. It is well equipped with white goods and household items and very clean. It has a large field which is perfect if you bring a dog or if you just fancy a walk It is located near lots of attractions and places to see. We loved our stay there, the only thing to be mindful of is that if you are on the tall side you may find the balcony bedroom difficult to navigate.

This is the second time we have stayed at The Cowstall.
This is the second time we have stayed at The Cowstall. The location and cottage are wonderful. Unfortunately the toilet flush was broken when we arrived for which the owner was very apologetic and it was fixed the day before we left. There was also an old stain on the bedding. These are the only reasons we've marked down what was otherwise a lovely stay.

Great little place in a quiet location.
Great little place in a quiet location. Only negative is that the info regarding amenities needs updating as it claims there is a pub and shop within half a mile although this is true regarding the pub the nearest grocery store is a 10 minute car journey so if you run out of milk you need to use the car to get some.

An enjoyable short stay at this well equipped cottage.
An enjoyable short stay at this well equipped cottage. Our dog appreciated the very large open space for him to run around. Lovely setting. Beautiful countryside. Lots of places to visit nearby. We managed Battle Abbey, Bexhill (certain areas of the beach are dog friendly) and Batemans - Rudyard Kiplings stunning home. We will definetly go back. Many thanks.

The owners had described the ups and downs of this property very well.
The owners had described the ups and downs of this property very well. It was very well equipped and comfortable. The field outside the door was perfect for our dog. I was unable to sleep in the bed because i was worried about getting up in the night and tackling the very steep stairs, so I slept downstairs which was quite comfortable. We loved the privacy and the peace, there is a road next to the property but it didnt spoil it. We would stay there again.

We had a very pleasant few days at The Cowstall. We were impressed with the way in which the owners had equipped such a tiny cottage with so much. It was all very neatly fitted in. And the view from The Cowstall was superb.

A great deal of money has been spent on this conversion, which was appreciated.
A great deal of money has been spent on this conversion, which was appreciated. Be prepared for the very low low ceiling in the bedroom, which made getting in and out of bed difficult - sense of humour required. Location is wonderful, very private, huge field all round, wildlife. 7 minutes by car to supermarket. Nice walk through woods to Blackboys Inn for drink or food. Woods opposite this. Owners very helpful and anxious that everything should be at its best. Would go again.

The Cowstall is a cosy and well appointed cottage ideal for two people.
The Cowstall is a cosy and well appointed cottage ideal for two people. The bedroom is a little cramped and space isn't its strong point but the bed is very comfortable. If you're tall you might struggle. The kitchen is well equipped and the seating area is fine for two adults. The cottage looks out over open grassland and to trees and hills beyond. There s a patio with chars and a table to enjoy drinks and meals outside. Off ad secure parking is also very welcome. As is the fenced area so our dog could enjoy running around. Cowstall is in a very private spot to enjoy some solitude and explore the lovely East Sussex countryside and coast.

We had a wonderful few days at The Cow Stall.
We had a wonderful few days at The Cow Stall. A real gem. We took our two small dogs and they absolutely loved it. Plenty of wonderful walks and a short cut through to the Blackboys Inn where we had a beautiful dinner. This comes highly recommended. However, please be aware that the stairs are very deep and steep. The bed is very low to the ground - it caused a few giggles for us as we are not as agile as we used to be. However, we felt very safe and secure and slept well. March 2019

The Cow stall is a lovely country break location for 2 and a dog.
The Cow stall is a lovely country break location for 2 and a dog. The Field outside is handy for playing fetch and the Weald Way is on the doorstep. The cottage is small and the bedroom area takes a little getting used to, but although compact the cottage is well furnished, equipped and comfortable. The Blackboy pub is excellent and about a 20 minute walk or 5 in the car. Uckfield is easily accessible and about a 15 minute drive. All in all we would recommend, but be aware of the height restriction especially in the galleried bedroom.
