"The staff were amazing except at the breakfast my sister was not well and needed to have her breakfast in the room but we were told it's not possible so she had to walk to the restaurant . which was very bad.. front desk staff was amazing and friendly and the housekeepers were also very nice and friendly .. "This hotel in a colonial style typical of East Africa was just a gem. We were given a nice room, large enough and with all we could wish for. The staff as all Tanzanians were just the friendliest and most helpful, going out of their way to make our stay a delay. We felt cared for and appreciated. When we go back to Tanzania we will go back to Slipway. The area of the hotel offered everything the heart would enjoy on a vacation: Nice walks, good restaurants, little gift shops, clothing shops, cafes etc. Assante. "
